Is the mma "superman" punch illegal in boxing?

I've never seen it done in a boxing match, but was curious if there was a specific rule disallowing a fighter from having both feet leave the ground and throwing that lunging punch at another boxer.

What's the point of feigning a kick in a boxing match?

The superman punch usually works by feinting a front kick or knee that triggers a trained reflex in the opponent. Then the punch to the head catches him off guard.

Boxers don't have this trained reflex. You'd have to do a much bigger feint to trigger a reaction, which would leave you prone to a counter while you're standing on one leg.

And if you actually went too far with the feint and landed it, you'd get a DQ or point deduction.
