Is sushi the best food?

I worked in the Cambridge area for a few months, and I remember asking about the good local food places and they just kept recommending Indian food.

But then again.........

The weather was beautiful almost the entire time I was there, I didn't notice that many terrible teeth on people, and in general I thought the ladies were quite attractive.

It was not what I expected, but a good experience.
We have a massive Indian community here in The Bay Area but it's not half as good as the Indian food in the UK.

Cambridge is lovely, I did a really nice gondola ride there years ago, it's much nicer than Oxford. You picked the right place!

I ended getting some english food. This is what I remember.

I thought the squab was gamey, and a bit nasty. I had some fried brie that was pretty darn good. Fish and chips was pretty good, and I enjoyed the warm beer.

What the FUCK is squab????

The warm beer - you mean ale, right? The flat stuff? Yeah its pretty good, that's very specific for Britian too I suppose.

Lol sushi...

food for people who don't really like food.

Eat a fucking steak, you dandys

Yeah, to be honest in the UK any good food you eat will be from somewhere else. I sometimes struggle to remember what exactly is British food. Tell you somewhere else that reminded me of this - Singapore. There was Chinatown, little India, little this, little that......I couldn't figure out what exactly was 'Singapore'.
Apart from obvious friends and family the thing I miss most is a really good gastro pub. Roaring fire, good game, good fillet steak and peppercorn, good steak and ale pie, good liver and bacon, even proper ham egg and chips. I like all food pretty much but that they really do right.

Sushi is pretty banging and easy to make at home if u have access to high quality ingredients.

Most people eat garbage sushi tho.

Highlight of the long work trip was the F2 race at Silverstone!

Pigeon, IDK about ale.....it was the warm beer that comes out of a hand pump type tap and is not available many places in the US.

Baby pigeon. Pigeon is tits.

I have spent 38yrs on this planet and have NEVER heard of squab. Or baby pigeon, in fact. I've eaten a pigeon's bollocks weirdly, as a works Christmas dinner, without being told - it was a very odd thing to give to unsuspecting people and several old women kicked off about it!

Yeah, that's ale.

Answer the question. The answer is bound to be "I haven't been" but I'll play along.
Sure I haven’t been and I have no desire to go, but that doesn’t change the fact that your food is known worldwide to be bad.

Oh I bet. I'm a massive motor racing fan, I would have loved to have gone to Silverstone. I bet that was cracking.

I rest my case, your honour.

Do you even passport, bro?

You're going by a 40 year old stereotype.

I’ve been to like 8 different countries and I don’t voluntarily travel to lesser ones

I'm not going to knock any country till I've been there, because that's really fucking daft.

It's not my favorite, but I'm a fan of big, bold flavored dishes. Something like really good chaoshou would be hard for me to argue against. Sushi to me is often too delicate.

Chicken wings fo sho.

Then lamb.

Haven't had veal in forever but I remember it being REALLY good.

Choripan

Nah

I consider sushi as petite rice sandwiches.
I prefer Thai food instead.

I have yet to encounter something more delicious than a USDA Prime Rib-Eye cooked medium rare with a side of fries.
Steak is my favorite food, and all but 1 sushi I've ever had is "really good" or "mehh". But that 1 sushi.. it was sashimi tuna. It just.. melted like butter in my mouth. It was like the fattiest, most marble spots from a USDA prime steak, except the entire fish was just marbled spots. Awwww yeahhh.
