Seriously i'm supposedly paying for 100mbps speed and i'm getting 1.8mbps if even that and every website loads slowly, videos constantly lagging is this solely due to sspectrum i've tried different browsers and devices as well. Or is this the new Net Neutrality bullshit ?

I have them (Formerly Time Warner) at the same speed as you and mine works pretty solidly. Never ran into issues.

i know ur feels bro
SF5 is literally unplayable for me with the 100mbps down and 10 up im supposedly getting
viodeos lag
sometimes i get less than 10 down, sometimes it says im getting like 115 down and literally every website loads slow
if i didnt live in the boonies id switch to soemthing else but time warner got bought out and this is literally my only choice

I think a lot of people in other areas of the country know them as "Charter" cable. And where I live they've always sucked.

As of a few hours ago, the state of New York's Public Service Commission ordered Charter Communications, which operates under the brand name Spectrum, to leave New York......

The state’s Public Service Commission said Charter had failed to comply with the terms of its 2016 merger with Time Warner Cable. Under that agreement, the state allowed Charter to acquire Time Warner, making it second only to Comcast in size, if the company agreed to upgrade or expand its broadband services in sparsely populated areas. The commissioners voted on Friday to revoke approval for that merger,

i just called them and they tried to upsale me on a 79.95 plan pieces of shit you think i'm going to pay more money for your shitty fuckin service ? I think they do this shit on purpose just throttle the internet to slow speeds in certain regions and times and then the people call them and ask what the fuck why is my internet slow? Then they try to upsale the suckers into paying more money for internet and when they pay more for "upgraded" service they put their speeds back to normal. It's a fuckin scam

scum

I've had it for many years only once I had a problem . Turned out a squirrel or something chewed on the cable allowing water to get in the line. Guy unscrewed it and water ran out he said there's the problem .apparently it's pretty common in squirrelly area's

Here they recently discontinued analog cable and make everyone pay for digital boxes and changing TV channels is often flaky. It's like having to reason with snotty teenaged employee each time I want to switch channels or even turn on DVR to watch regular TV.

Maybe TS needs to use a powered two way signal booster to compensate for weak signal/shoddy cable wiring.

Ive used them for years, and aside from a few bad spots here and there theyve been great for me.

Mine's great, but it was great when it was Time Warner, so all Spectrum did is not screw it up.

No problem here. They’ve been known to throttle the speed in poor areas. Must suck to be poor.

I worked for a competitor, no idea if their service is just shit but generally speaking cable providers aren't as evil as their customers think they are. If you pay for 100meg and get 1.8 you have a bad modem bad drop or bad node. Modem can be swapped easily. Drop can be replaced by a tech pretty easy. Node can be diagnosed easy but would take a while to get fixed.

The other options are you live in a big ass apartment complex or condo complex which can be made of suck. You have shitty internal wiring in your place and it's on you or your landlord to fix. Or spectrum is actually bastards.

9 milliseconds ping, 69 Mbps down 6 Mbps up on Spectrum.

Never heard of them. So.... when people ask you about your internet do you tell them you're on the spectrum?

My cable and internet was shit. I bought a powered cable signal booster, and shit was way better. The signal booster crapped out after a few years, possibly from the heat baking the insides. I switched to non-powered low loss splitter by Monster. Service was decent for a while until cable and internet were shit again. Bought the same model of powered signal booster again, but this time hung a big heatsink on it. So far so good.

What TS needs is a two-way powered signal booster + heatsink making flush contact to it to significantly reduce the heat.

Slower and much more expensive than a local company in my area. So I’m not sure why anyone would ever go with it. At least where I’m at.
