I keep hearing everyone talk about his bad fight IQ, but how was he going to win the fight if it stands? O Malley was up 2 rounds and if he got hit by any strikes he would have simply gone to the ground and pulled guard, rinse and repeat. I honestly see this happening. OMalley won the fight either way no matter what Soukamthath did, nothing to do with his fight IQ, hes just simply not as good of a fighter.

In defense of Soukamthath, its pretty natural to want to get in a top dominant position in an MMA match, almost anyone would take that position if told they could get it unless they were VS a ju jitsu god.

So is sherdog really going to keep repeating the same crap? You really thing Omalley was going to magically get KO'd while up on the score cards becuase he was on 1 foot? Ofcourse not. He would just fall down into a defensive position on the ground when he takes a bit too much heat (like we saw in the fight) the fight would not have been called off because O Malley is defending and still able to get up. So if Soukamthath wanted to let Omalley up, Omalley was going to keep getting up until it ends..

I'm not missing the point at all.. O Malley was able to stand.. I just rewatched parts of the fight and O malley is hopping around on one foot throwing knees and strikes. He got up multi times even caught Saukham with a big spinning back elbow WHILE GETTING UP ON ONE FOOT.

Hate to say it, but I was thinking fix also...why else would he simply not let the guy up. the ref would have had to stop the fight almost immediately...

Man he looked clearly as he was in pain. He should have kicked him over again. Then we wouldn't be talking. Say what you want but he didnt try. basically he did the best he coukd not to try and win.
