Oh there's just too much. For one you're changing the goalposts since you're talking about the political arena outside this forum whereas the OP is talking about this forum only. That's just the tip, there's also the way you're downplaying the polarization caused by the right under 8 years of Obama and as well as downplaying the extent to which right leaning posters here seek out non-stories. But as I said your posting is very tedious to deal with. Sort of hypocritical of me I guess since I also multi-quote and write walls of texts but I don't really hold it against people if they don't want to deal with it.
I talked about the political arena outside of this forum to further point out the tendency for over-reacting and outright hysteria amongst the leftist ranks, because the reality is that, right now, they are largely fighting against ghosts, non-issues, without being able to properly communicate the source of their outrage, because the media is doing it for them. "The right" has found a more measured way to manifesting its outrage over the internet, conversing amongst each other and sharpening their knowledge, gradually. What began as rogue conspiracies under Obama's regime, is now turning into a more coherent understanding of the world's events, beyond NWO plots and Commie take-overs. The tide is slowly turning from right-wingers being Fox News drones, to having an actual grasp on real-life issues. The left, however, remains largely dependent on the information granted to them by their chosen news channels, news channels which may have once served them well, but no longer do, as they've turned to yellow journalism in order to stay afloat.
I do not see how I was down-playing the polarization caused by the right under Obama, when I was never even referring to it. I was referring to a specific case which could be compared to the Charlottesville event (although only loosely), where Obama caught criticism for being unwilling to call out "radical Islam". Threads about trans-gender kids, which die off after 2 pages after a few "business as usual" comments on the subject, aren't truly comparable to the pouring outrage over that event. Perhaps the left too would benefit from more "outrage porn", so that they wouldn't have to go bonkers over a scummy protest gone wrong. Get the stuff off their chest and move on.
You began the multi-quoting and the elaboration of the argument, so I do not really see why you're complaining about it so much. These were hardly "walls of text" that were being written. I keep my posts short and concise unless I'm prompted to do otherwise.
