Is Sega Going Through a Revival?

They won't be back doing consoles. Arcades and software are their bread and butter.

In this case, super game implies a class of video game not necessarily "super hit" although I'd imagine they'd want it to be a super-duper hit.
Think hyper car vs super car but for video games.

The project:

The criteria:

What I am afraid of is that the games that are financially super hits often are games where you have to buy in game items. Warthunder would be an amazing game if it didn't bootstrap you to so much nonsense.

I'm curious to see the Golden Axe they're working on and the 3D Streets of Rage
We got a teaser then nothing

Next Virtua Fighter seems great potential, they should show off more

Wish they give another chance to Nights, Skies of Arcadia and, even less likely, Beyond Oasis

It's quite sad how many cool IP they're leaving in the graveyard

Shame that Skies of Arcadia never really caught on. It's such a gem, and they've already tried to broaden it's appeal by porting it over to some other systems, and still didn't move the needle much.

Ah' well, forever a cult classic I guess.

The Genesis was successful early on due to a trifecta.

-Focusing on the futuristic technical marvels ("16-Bit", "blast processing") of the system

-The included game bundles when you purchased the system (the Super nintendo entertainment system wooed me back with their onboarding bundle)

-Had Joe Montana, Michael Jackson, and Pat Riley endorsement. Tommy Lasorda. Evander Holyfield. Arnold Palmer. All of the legends.

That's what influenced my jump from the Nintendo entertainment system.

If someone could come back, to rise in the moonlight like an Altered Beast, when kicking zombies in the balls meant something, Sega knows how to do it.

I wish they did a 2d sonic with identical gameplay to the Genesis games but with much updated graphics. That could be sick. Even remake the original game with IDENTICAL gameplay and incredible graphics

Sonic Mania is good
