He sounds very cocky for a guy who hasnt fought anyone half decent yet. He has 2 wins in the UFC against two of the lower ranked fighters.

Hes talking about headlining his next event and how he deserves it. What?

He has hype but hes completely unproven. He tatood a star on his face because "Im a star".

Is this guy going to crash and burn or do you think hes actually really good?

Who knows. He could be the next Max Holloway or he could be the next Roger Huerta.

At this point though, a lot of guys would give him trouble but he's got time to improve.

What was his amateur record? I watched his last fight and he looked sloppy and hittable. If it wasn't for the dumbest opponent ever, he would of lost.

He may end up a solid 10 to 15th ranked guy but I doubt he gets anymore than that.

I think he's just utilizing the formula to help him get more attention.

It seems to be working judging by threads about him here.

I didn't know who he was until recently.

I thought he showed good potential in his last fight. I was not particularly impressed by his debut. I wonder how easy he does the weight considering his height

Their is a kid in Canada right now TJ LARAMIE (TKO Champion) who is getting a lot of press and would expose this guy. Agreeing with Treeloy, he has yet to beat anyone good.

Dam you can tell by 1 fight the trajectory this guy's entire career? Why does he stop at 10-15 rank? Does he dislike training, inadequate coaching, outside influences, I need to know more.

I watched one of his amateur fights, he was getting taken down non-stop by a jiu jitsu guy and couldn’t do anything about it but the ref and promotion were heavily biased towards Sean and constantly stood them up even when the jits guy was busy and they eventually DQ’d him.

His ground game really is bad. He got worked on the ground by Andre and Terion. Both guys have no grappling pedigree. He is gonna lose as soon as he gets in there with a good wrestler. Put him in there with Cody Stamman and he’s done for. If we wanna keep giving him good match ups then let’s see him fight The Fire Kid

He is copying every other jackass that shouted into a microphone and received undeserved money fights.
These days when someone starts screaming bullshit into a microphone you shouldn't assume it is because they are great, you should assume they're behind on their rent.

I like him, and I wanna see him improve. I prefer this to manufacturing trash talk, at least Sean comes off genuine.

...That being said, he better quit treating MMA like a kickboxing exhibition, or someone's gonna smash him down the road.

No, but you can get a general idea of what the guy brings to the table. I can't comment on training/coaching but I can safely assume that he wants to be a rockstar and that will, for sure, take some focus away from what got him here. I watched some of his interviews and he believes his own hype too.

I did enjoy Ware fight and I thought both guys showed a lot of heart and it showed that O'Malley could go 3 rounds with a guy that wasn't going to quit

He's still green imo, and has a LOT of work to do. 23 years old tho? Shiiiettt partna, give the young stoner time to grow.

Right now it should be about "fun" fights and gradual steps up in competition but in no way, shape, or form is O'Malley ready for an elite wrestler or someone ranked way above him

Just enjoy the "Sugar Show" for the time being, but most certainly O'Malley will hit a road block in his next 3 fights and get taken down a peg and it's inevitable he will run into a wrestler that will drop him on his ass and not play his game

But other than that, I like the kid. I'm diggin' the bird's nest he's rocking, the swag, he's just a cool cat I think. We'll see how far he can go, but if he doesn't ever become elite, hopefully he can keep us entertained like Gaethje or Lando.

He's a fighter. You have to promote yourself, and believe in yourself. You're not going to get very far in this business just saying yes sir, no sir, please, and thank you.

It's MMA, not bible camp. Talk yourself up.

I love how O'Malley is just a bum waiting to get exposed when you had 1 dimensional fighters with pretty much only power as their upside to their skillset being touted as the next WW champ and gonna KO everyone once "they get dem black belt hands".

Smh

GSP got pretty far.

He's cocky because he trains hard and is completely focused on weed and mma.

He has the personality of a 16 year old stoner but he is talented, he doesnt deserve a main event but its not anyway done by logic if he draws enough fans, they will put him there.
