Is Ryan Hall past his prime?

He's too one dimensional. Imanari rolls and heel hooks will eventually get figured out as Topuria just showed.

getting exposed recently with his history of inactivity doesn't bode well for him but the current UFC/Disney era likes unique colorful fighters and will happily lob them softballs. Ryan might need to start dyeing his chest hair though

Ryan has exactly two moves and if you figure them out he sucks. He's a solved aging fighter so yeah.
Thing is nobody figured him out! You know he's takig your leg but you can't do anything but run away.

Probably, but with his style you can't really blame him older for him losing. If the guy was 8 years younger he'd be fighting the exact same way

As much as I like Ryan Hall, he is a 1 trick pony and will likely never go anywhere.

He is better off fighting in One
Gary Tonon figured this out, neither he nor Hall can realistically hang with tougher more complete BJJ/wrestlers at a higher level.

His just like Maia, nobody wants to fight him cause they know they can get caught any second, but can be made to look very ordinary if he can't get the fight where he wants it.

Exactly, both great BJJ players, but lack the aggression and striking experience required at the top.

Burns, Jacare, Maia are a few who were able to transition and hang with the top level, even Rodolfo is struggling.

He's pretty much a gimmick fighter. So singularly skilled in a sea of multi-disciplined fighters.

Almost a modern day freakshow fight, as much as Dana could conceptualize such a thing.

So every time a guy loses he is out of his prime. TF wrong with sherdoggers brain

Unfortunately, it's difficult to learn/advance/peak at his main weakness (wrestling) at his age, which is already pretty advanced for the lighter weights.

I think his skillset now is likely to be 95 percent similar to any skillset he could bring in the future, and his general physicality is probably already going downhill.

I lie awake in bed every night asking myself this very same question. Is Ryan Hall past his prime? And will I ever sleep again? Fuck!!!
This reads like a dril tweet and I love that

"SHUT UP!!! Enough already! Who cares about Ryan Hall anyway? The man has only 2 moves for christ's sake! Iminari rolls, spinning wheel kicks?"

i wish he grew his other skills along the way, then maybe he could justify some longevity

but now I just don't want to see the guy sustain any further brain damage if hes just gonna flop on the floor like a fish

Topuria would have beaten him anytime. He was fighting guys who were terrified of his guard, if you watch his fights he was always suspect to GNP

Um... He's past getting knocked out lol?
