What do you guys think? Personally I don't think it's a very good camp. Their two biggest fighters are Anthony Pettis, who in my opinion if a fringe top 10 guy and Ben Askren who will never be in the UFC. Pettis has a clear weakness with people backing him up and he doesn't seem to have improved it. Askren is purely a ground fight who doesn't seem to ever improve his stand up.

IMO if a camp can't improve their best fighters most glaring weaknesses they aren't doing their job, but Duke Roufus is treated as a great coach.

One guy died, so there is that...

In MMA? No idea. In striking? Rick Roufus is a legend in Amercian Kikcboxing and Full Contact Karate.

Newsflash. There are a shit ton of good camps that don't have top 10 guys. Your logic is shitty.

And most of those camps probably aren't that great. I don't see your point. There was a time here on sherdog like Roufusport was talked about being the next great camp. In fact I think thats why CM Punk chose to train there. I just don't see it happening though.

All camps not directly affiliated with the UFC and liable for damage of it's contracted fighters IS THE SINGLE GREATEST CANCER to the UFC.

EVERY DAMN CAMP! The UFC should ban any fighter on it's roster from attending these unaffiliated camps that are largely unaffected by last minute injuries in the way that the commission, Zuffa, the UFC & the venue(s) are!

You first said they are not a good camp because they "only" have a fringe top-ten guy. That is shitty logic. You know it.

Well the only way to judge a camp is by the quality of their fighters. I love my jiu jitsu team, but I have no illusion that training with them will turn me into a world champ.

It probably has something to do with how you connect things logically.

That is idiot thinking. Having a great fighter is not due to the camp, but due to that persons genetic ability to be great. Conor's camp only has him as their champion. Does that mean his camp sucks. No. it just means he's naturally gifted and works hard at his craft. would he be as good at another camp. Yes. probably so.

It's a great camp if you want to keep getting injured and hardly ever fight.

Would he? What if he was at a camp that embraced hard sparring? He could be another Cain. I think a good camp is essential to being a long lasting great fighter.

No. They are very young in the mma game and lots of other camps are much more knowledgable about mma.

Great striking camp, but not for Askren apparently
