Is Ronda humble?

She doesn't seem to have a lot of nice personality traits. However, this is the world of martial arts, so no one really expects fighters to be kind-hearted, humble, sweethearts...

May I suggest you meant mma. Martial Artists are supposed to be a better example. If we look to the tenets of various martial arts, they teach students to practice courtesy, integrity, self control among others. In Karate there is mention of being boastful as a sign of insecurity. Far to many lessons from different styles to list as to how martial artists are meant to conduct themselves as balanced individuals. Not to be confused with the cobra kai attitudes shown by the Mcdonalds of Martial arts. Alot of the greats who show traits like warrior spirit also show self control and respect. Alot of these guys came from traditional martial arts. I think in this day and age that might be lost as somthing to look up to.

Why should she be humble? She's fighting the best fighters in the world!

Why should a person be nice to someone if he/she doesnt need anything from them?

Why should a person be respectful towards someone who they don't like?

etc, etc

Answer: Because the value of our character is reflected by how we treat others, under all circumstances, and by the level of importance we place on our own desires/feelings. Most of us value good qualities/characteristics in a person that lift others up as much as they lift themselves up (if you do not, this answer won't make sense). One can have supreme confidence in their abilities without making frequent, unnecessary, and totally exaggerated claims about their abilities, rubbing it in peoples faces or using it to degrade others.

Did you ever get the feeling Fedor didn't believe in himself? I certainly didn't. Did he ever come across brash, rude, cocky, arrogant, etc? I've never heard anyone claim any of those things about him. Most of his "haters" hated him because of his fans, or because of his priorities being different than what they wanted. However, humility is something almost every person on this planet values and he showed it in droves.

she's about as humble as mat throwing dog ears clipping Rumble

It's rare I say "wow" when reading a post on Sherdog (at least a complimentary "wow" is rare anyway). I hope I remember your screen name. That was lucidly and succinctly put. One of those explanations that couldn't easily be improved on within the constraints of the number of words used. Fantastic stuff.

She's pretty humble, yes. It's just that most sherdoggers confuse being confident with not being humble.

Pffft. Go check how holly and gsp carry themselves. If you have to use the word pretty.... she aint humble.
