Is rap the first indestructible music genre?

-turned to shit
-indestructible

dawg, you just said it was destroyed.
if i put a hammer to Michelangelo's David, it ain't a piece of art anymore just because the pile of debris left behind is also made of rock.

Bach still gets ripped off in popular muscular, ~300 years later. Not to mention his pieces still get covered, the workd around.

if he's so great why didn't he come up with ride the lighting or 5/4th timing signature popularized by meshuggah? did he ever even write a k-pop song?! nope. he's a bum.

Can't wait for it to completely die out, the sooner the better

are there current popular rappers that are anti-rap-culture? like rappers who are about minimalism and not buying expensive shit? who rhyme about living a balanced, moderate and non-consumerist lifestyle? who aren't into sneaker culture?

None of the genres you mentioned have died though. Sure they may get less air play from bullshit radio stations only teen girls listen to, or aren’t featured in the latest advert for some shit you don’t need but live classical, jazz, blues, rock is available in every major city tonight. The very suggestion they have died is ludicrous
I see what you mean. If someone is into those genres then there is still a market out there. But let's be clear, none of it is culturally relevant in a contemporary sense. Classical, Jazz, Rock, Blues etc. are niches tailored and peddled to.a relatively small demographic.

Maybe there is but no ones listening to that stuff lol. The people who like rap, like it in part because of the ignorance and degeneracy it celebrates.

The fact that you are referring the Hip Hop genre as "rap" music already shows your ignorance.

seems like an opportunity. i'm not saying be a nerd, but it would be cool to see a higher minded rapper pushing a different belief/culture while also being a super good rapper.

5/4 timing has been popular a lot longer than that. “Money” by Pink Floyd immediately springs to mind.

As for Bach; he provided starting off points for countless classics like “Blackbird”, “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, etc. Many artists still elect to just flagrantly lift his material, eg Maroon 5, as it’s covered under public domain.

i was speaking somewhat in jest but i think the point still stands -- bach never wrote a dubstep track. bach never wrote a grunge song. bach never used his clout to push for the creation of new instruments (did he?) very disappointed in bach.

Best in Rock the 60s/70s
Best in Metal the 80s
Best in punk 70s
Best in Country 70s/80s
Best in Rap 90s
Beat RnB 60s

The fact Rap has stayed a focus in Misic even though last 20 years been shit yeah it likely is indestructible . Whoever would speak bad about it now is a racist that gives it great abating power. No substance but its got it where it really counts now ........ politically

Hip Hop was at its creative high between 87-2002 imo. After that it began to taper off.
