I was thinking, he formed world chamipons from zero: AS, Wanderlei Silva, Shogun.

He was the coach who rose Raphael Assunção and Werdum to the world title.

Other champions like Lyoto machida have been training with him.

Today´s top contenders train with him, like Beneil Dariush and Kelvin Gastelum.

Retired top contenders like Renato babalu, Murilo Ninja and Mark munõz trained with him.

He is one of the few coaches who can say he was himself a vale tudo and MMA fighter, and can teach both MT and BJJ because he is a black belt in both. And teach how to mix them.

What are the other coaches you people think match him?

Black belt in muay thai?

<{danayeah}>

Platinun Mike has a black belt in his hands.

Raffy boy has them in his hands, elbows, feet and knee's!!

This is why Perry needs to quit his shit school and become a black belt in his 8 points!!

I would say so. He turns grapplers into vicious strikers.
The correct answer is Matt Hume.

He's up there for sure since he's been coaching top fighters for like 20 years and was the MT coach at Chute Boxe, which also benefits him now as the next generation of fighters, including a lot of top Brazilian fighters, look up to him and thus seek his advice. Also a very nice guy.

For me the most knowledgeable coach is Matt Hume. He was a good fighter in his day, worked for Pride, coached the current p4p top guy from a one-dimensional wrestler into a well-rounded elite. So when there's a topic of rules or how much MMA has evolved, etc, all that experience within the sport makes his opinions valuable, but he's also not had the stable of Cordeiro.

Honorable mention to Javier Mendez at AKA. Smaller camp than other top camps, yet he previously had 3 ranked WW's and a top LW, now Cain, DC, Luke and Khabib. He's the best at teaching grapplers how to strike, which is a difficult thing to do if you look at all the bad striking top wrestlers and BJJ practitioners tend to have. A lot of Mendez' guys are efficient in stand-up, often so good they don't need to use their main background to win.

He's personally responsible for turning Werdum from one trick pony to complete fighter with devastating m-thai

(Timestamped; but I'd recommend watching the whole video, nice piece of history)

I’d say so. Making those grapplers become good strikers was impressive

Yes, i think so. He's directly involved with the MMA careers of: Spider, Shogun, RDA, Werdum, Wand, Ninja, Machida, Pele, Cyborg, Gastelum, Dariush and others. Turns grapplers into serious and dangerous strikers. A mastermind who doesn't even like the spotlight, different from guys full of shit like Conan Silveira or Greg Jackson..

Cordero might be the best coach of all time but he also might have the best roid dealer of all time

Cordeiro is amazing. He turns grapplers who can't even throw a punch into dangerous strikers who can destroy anyone.

I loved watching the rise of Raphael Assuncao to the belt and beyond because of Cordeiro. It was fucking epic<Moyes5>

RDA and Werdum are beautiful cases.
