Nope. If we are talking strictly fighting. If we are referring to them as fighters and if he’s just a better person that’s a fighter I would have to say, yep.
 
Pereira fought a 2+ year older version of Blachowicz than Izzy did and he got to fight him at elevation lol.

Ignoring that is like saying Chris Weidman and Uriah Hall both deserve the same amount of credit for their wins over Anderson Silva.

Except Blachowicz is still a top contender last I checked and Silva was 1-6. And how do you explain Strickland? Pereira dusted him easily.
 
In my opinion yes, he has shown across both MMA fights to be just as effective if not more so despite much less experience.

He is better from the outside, inside, and the clinch when compared to Izzy, but when Izzy is at the top of his game his reaction time and defensive instincts are top top notch, some of the very best we've seen. His defense in that first fight was so good in fact, it carried him to a near victory.

Sometimes the better fighter doesn't always win, there are just too many factors. I always believed and spoke about how Alex beats Izzy 8/10. Go back and watch the first fight, look how narrowly Izzy was able to avoid the death touch in that fight for multiple rounds, it's always just a matter of time in that MMA matchup unless Izzy can KO Alex with one shot.

Yes, Alex is a better Kickboxer.
Yes, I believe Alex wins 8/10 times against Izzy in MMA.

Izzy also has 5 title defenses in the UFC, Pereira didn't even last 10 minutes in the cage as the champion.

Pereira is a better everything than Adesanya.

A better kickboxer, a better MMA fighter, and a better man.
Beats Izzy 3-1, and beats the fighters Izzy lost to (in both kickboxing and in MMA).

Pereira seems to have almost 0 ego. Whips Strickland's ass, downplays the win.
Then Strickland asked to train with him, Pereira is fine with it and trains with Strickland.
Then, when Strickland beats Izzy's ass, Pereira refuses to take any credit for Strickland winning, lets Strickland bask in his earned win.

As far as fighting goes, Pereira has better fundamentals, better power, and a thousand times more heart than Izzy, literally is always looking to throw down and take risks, while Izzy is literally always backing up and moving away from the fight.

By contrast, is he is a drama queen and thinks that the world revolves around "him."

The two couldn't be more different as fighters and men.

Pereira's power is a game changer. Hopefully this debate can keep going on a while longer as we see how the rest of their careers turn out. It's not over yet.
