Tbh neither diaz is a world beater. Great fighters and always entertaining but obviously neither has held ufc gold so conor must be doing something right even if it isn't that. If conor feels the movement training is helping well more power to the guy.

Touch but refers to speed drills where you just touch the partner with little contact, like tag.

It's ok to build speed but nothing beats sparring with contact to build fighting skills.

We all know Diaz plays hard in practice, while McGregor seems to feature speed and mobility drills.

Both are important, but hard sparring is better.
