Is paddy pimblett the worst hype job since a long time ?

Terrible the hype about that guy , undeserved as hell , not much talent in a shark tank like 155lbs will give him massive trouble if he doesent improve.

So for me he is the largest gap between actual ability in the cage and outside hoopla that I can really think of.

I think he's kind of creation of the social media era - I don't know that its possible to create the hype around a guy like him absent the social media interest in his like accent, weird haircut, getting fat etc. Even in the days when promoters had to push this to you largely through network television they needed something a bit more in the actual fights to generate a hype train.

He's borderline elite in one aspect of MMA, which is back game, everywhere else he is either no more than journeyman level or even notably bad for a fighter at UFC level.

There's been some bad ones. Remember Sage Northcutt was being hyped up not too long ago. Paddy has some skill, he's not quite as bad as a lot of people would lead you to believe these days... but yeah he's obviously not nearly as skilled as his level of hype. More of a top 25 or so type guy rather than a guy who will get anywhere near contending status.

If you're comparing hype to actual skill of the fighter, Paddy is one of the worst fighters with a "large" fan base, Not many people with any investment in MMA thinks Paddy is elite.

In this day though.. Loud, ADHD, spaztic personalities can make young adults into millionaires. Just look at the stars in newer media.

Six fight win streak. No losses in over 4 years. He makes his own hype, which includes all the threads on this forum. His haters complain about him so much that THEY create most of the hype. His fans tend to be more analytical when it comes to his actual performances, while his haters sound like Hillary voters the night she lost to Trump. LOL

He moved to one or Rizen and got his jaw shattered in three pieces in the first round, don’t think he ever fought again.

She was not that bad, a legit 10-15 ranked woman fighter. But she always fought hard and did not quit while taking damage. She showed more heart than Conor did in his losses.
