Is OSP the easiest title fight in Jones career except for Sonnen?

I know this guy hits hard but Jones chin is very good and he is hard to hit.

Does OSP have a chance in hell to win this fight?

Hell no, unless Jones is some weird kind of husty. Strange that OSP is hanked 6th. LHW is dead to me.

Jones seems to struggle a little with opponents who are the same size as him. OSP is a big dude.

Since it is for the intermin belt title, it technically is a title fight. GTFO with your nit picking.

The area that poses the biggest threat for Jon is that OSP is another tall and rangier fighter. And the last person to have those attributes gave him the battle of his life. Granted OSP isn't on the same level as Gus in terms of movement and striking but if he can land he might be able to KO him.

You may be right, this might be his easiest test at 205 right now, but at least there are some risks involved. Jon hasn't fought in a year, and he wont have a ton of time to prepare for OSP like he normally likes to do for his opponents. Ovince is an active fighter and he's coming in with absolutely nothing to lose and the world to gain.

No reason to think that Jones will lose this fight but at least there will be some adversity there for him to overcome.

Hard to say if it's the easiest. It has the potential to be, yeah, but I also feel like OSP has a chance to cause Jones some problems with his reach and power. Everyone should've learned by now that no fight is a 100% certainty in the UFC. Styles make fights and also one little mistake can cost you the whole fight, especially at the higher weight classes.

If there is one thing Ive earned is that shocks happen on pretty much every card and this could be no different.

Shogun was the easiest, Sonnen had a chance when JBJ broke his toe.

If OSP lands a huge punch anytime in rounds 1 or 2 it could be night night for Johnny....

Maybe so far, but a rematch between Jones and Bader would be far easier for Jones than OSP is for Jones even though they're both relatively easy.

I hope there is a wardrobe malfunction

jones is not hard to hit.
great chin though

What with Sonnen in the thread title T.S.?

FFS, by far Gus's biggest call to fame was losing a close well contested fight to JBJ! I can't see how it was even controversial, only acknowledge it WAS indeed a CLOSE loss for Gus.

As for who has really given Jon the best "competition" in title defenses and came closest to walking off with the belt: In reverse order:
3. Rashad - Got likely the cleanest single most solid damaging blow on the champ in his head kick.
2. Vitor - Had a somewhat tight armbar locked in and threatened Jon's title reign for a handful of seconds.
1. Chael - 10 seconds short of leaving the venue that evening with the belt given Jon's toe injury! (Not even close, this was BY FAR Jon's closest to losing his belt (FROM ANOTHER UFC OPPONENT!)

Let's see, two excellent wrestlers, and a BJJ blackbelt put Jon in the most danger to date!

Hell, I am far from a Gus fan (Phil's grappling dum.....), but comparing OSP's TDD to Gus's should damn near be fighting words for any fans he might have here.

OSP is fodder, nothing more. I will eat crow if Jon doesn't have OSP on his back early in the first round, and bleeding like a stuck pig!
