It seems to be really getting to him. Desperate for a UFC 'push', desperate to blaze a trail like Conor has, earn genuine followers and become a star on his own merit, he appears to feeling like the guy that only got the girls after he won the lottery.
And who could blame him, these 'fans' were disgusted Nate was given the original bout, they mocked his record and said Conor was dodging Khabib/Pettis. Now he sees them suddenly worship him but it feels hollow, for he knows his short term fame came not from his accomplishments but from the failure of his opponent.
This 'where where you all along' paranoia is now manifesting itself in to him questioning if Conor deserves a rematch, a rather tragic attempt to elevate himself just a few short months after him pleading with Conor for a chance to earn a decent payday. I hope he keeps it together because genuine fame can be tricky, but fame built on someone elses name could really mess with his head.
