And this is why I disagree with the inclusion of live odds. Bet pre-fight or there should be no bet. It's corrupt. Pay attention to commentary and you'll know who will get the decision if the fight is not an absolute domination by the party that was expected to lose.
In rbis example, the commentary spent 3 rounds coaching Amir and ignoring Kai altogether. Only once the stats have shown on screen did they start changing theirbtune because it sounded ridiculous. Then the live odds flipped to an extreme degree and the schtick was up.
Yeah I'm pretty sure that was during round 2 which is likely the round that lost Kai the fightThis. I thought I was tripping balls listening to Michael and Laura
So much of this, especially not announcing failures. Even with that said, swaying due to prior knowledge? At what point do you have to remove betting from MMA altogether? It’s all of them.
Old school judges still stubbornly use ‘Octagon Control’ when they want.
Incompetent is just undeniable at this stage. How do you score Round 4 for Albazi!?!?
Corrupt?
Lol, it happens in every other sport - and now we have the Krause revelation. We have USADA agreeing to no longer publicly announce failures… how much more proof do you need?
Can you actually believe we live in a world where you are no longer allowed to know who’s failing for PED infringements? So much of this, especially not announcing failures. Even with that said, swaying due to prior knowledge? At what point do you have to remove betting from MMA altogether?
Also, I get that America is capitalistic, and all gains from gambling serve only to feed the capitalistic system, but damn near every system in America is flawed, while capitalistic, so obviously nothing will change.
People are seeing the wrong way. The problem is not on judges, the problem is on mafia. That's always the real problem.
Undeniable.the Vegas sportsbooks will forever control all sports.
We live in capitalism. Those that bring the most money to the table shall fear no consequences. Can you actually believe we live in a world where you are no longer allowed to know who’s failing for PED infringements?
How is that even legal!?
Honestly. Tonight is the worst robbery I’ve seen in recent years. And it’s bordering on corruption/fixing for me.Before u guys defend the actual fight…i wanna say had no dog in the kara-france albazi fight. Could care less about either guy. So this isnt a complaint on the particular fight, but a question about ufc judging on the whole.
This stuff has been happening for far too long and nobody has done anything to change it.
it has to be 3 things:
1. the rules of how they judge is flawed as it leads to way too much controversial or bad decisions.
2. corruption, are judges just paid to give certain fighters wins or are they betting or telling their associates to bet and getting a cut.
3. The judges are just incompetent and don’t know how to score fights?
It has to be one of those things, right?
This is taking the piss though. We live in capitalism. Those that bring the most money to the table shall fear no consequences.
Yes.Yes.
You must not watch that much then, because this stuff happens once a month.Honestly. Tonight is the worst robbery I’ve seen in recent years. And it’s bordering on corruption/fixing for me.
I genuinely watch almost every single fight every weekend. At least prelims and main. You must not watch that much then, because this stuff happens once a month.
Legality isn't even a transparent formality. Nothing is one size fits all. This is taking the piss though.
Why even have USADA if we have zero transparency? We essentially are now in a position where we do not now even know if they are even testing them lol, we are legit just ‘trusting’ them.
How this is legal, I’ll never know.
Unfortuante, but very much accurate. It's just different.
We've seen plenty of decisions like this now, and still people don't seem to understand how the fights are actually being scored, and that's based on visuals.
If you look like you're winning, that's usually enough so long as you're not clearly actually losing.
Perfect example is those first two rounds. Kai was landing way more. Albazi wasn't landing fuck all, but he was the one going forward. You also had Kai coming out of exchanges with a scared look on his face, and being hesitant to go first.
According to MMA judges, one fighter looked like a fighter wanting to fight, while the other looked like someone who was afraid to fight.
Kai could have won both those rounds with all judges if he'd just looked like he was winning, but his visuals were shit and cost him.
Is this the way it should be? Absolutely not, but it is the way it is, and judges like Sal and Chris Lee are notorious for favoring this sort of stuff.
