I am really torn at the moment, this feels like blasphemy. I'm questioning our Lord and Saviour, the child of the JBG, Platinum Mike Perry. Forgive me brothers for even asking this question, but before you judge me - at least hear me out. Back in April, Mike talked about how he doesn't think that he will be the first person to kill a man in the octagon because he gets clean knockouts. Yet after Saturday night, Mike has been petitioning to get Mario Yamasaki as the referee for his match with Max Griffin.

Now forgive me if I'm wrong but that tweet doesn't seem to be something that a man who wasn't intending on killing someone in the octagon would write. Mike is perfectly aware that Mario Yamasaki is the person that the first death in the octagon is likely to occur whilst he is refereeing. In fact, I would go a step further and say that the way that Yamasaki performed his duties on Saturday night is what to MIke's decision to request he be the referee for his fight with Griffin.
If you watch the above clip then you can see that Mike scores a clean knockout (Danny Roberts is clearly out before he hits the ground), yet is willing to continue delivering strikes until the referee stops the fight. Now Marc Goddard fucked up not stopping the fight earlier but it's likely Yamasaki would have left Perry hitting Roberts for the remaining 20 seconds. This would have resulted in a fatality in Manchester that night.
Mike clearly has the killer instinct to kill a man, Yamasaki clearly wants to see how far he can push it before someone dies. Myself and @Thunderchild agree Mike has an IQ in the range of 140-165, so he is obviously aware of all these factors. Due to all this I can only conclude that Mike has decided that he actually does want to be the first man to kill someone in the octagon and he is planning on using Mario Yamasaki as his pawn. Does that make Mike Perry a liar?
