Is meth that bad?

Methamphetamine seem to cause psychosis in most abusers and I have witnessed first hand what some tweekers are capable of. Strange how amphetamine salts such as Ritalin and Concerta help a lot of people and behave like a combination of nicotine and caffeine in normal brains. Any neurologists here on Sherdog could probably detail this into layman terms.

Starting to cause major issues here in Australia. Our proximity to China, and the fact that we have the largest profit margin for drugs makes us an increasing target.

It has also increased markedly in purity. It used to be stepped on and sold as "speed", now so much of it is coming in pure that people can smoke/inject it.

Given it's purity and strength, it's downsides multiply accordingly. Paranoia, violence, etc etc. Due to the purity obviously the high is more dramatic, and likely to be addictive.

Meth is a love hate relationship. You love it but you hate it.

You have to have strong will power to get off it, and have to really want to quit.

All those before and after photos are of people who mainline meth. If you just smoke it you will look no different than usual. Your appearance won't change, unless you go on big binges and don't eat, you might get a lot skinnier.

I smoked it for about 3-4 yrs. It started off as a weekend thing every friday- Saturday when I was going out with mates. Slowly tho it starts taking over and you want it every day. At my worst I was doing it 5-6 days a week I was spending between $400- 800 on it a week.

I'm glad I'm off it now. I didn't really plan on quitting, but I lost my job and couldn't afford it anymore. And since I'm not a total fuck head loser resorting to crime to get it was never an option.

Currently I haven't smoked meth in over a year and a half. I have seen how much better I am off it and I really have no plan to smoke it ever again.

Yep. I used to go to this crack house to score. Everyone of them mainlined and they all looked liked zombies, scabs all over their bodies, decaying teeth, bleeding mouth ulcers...disgusting.

Nah, it's not that bad. The pharmaceutical companies just want you to do their drugs is why it gets such a bad wrap.

Meth is actually FDA approved for obesity and ADHD.

My wife and I were foster parents in the past, there were 110 children in my county in foster care at that time. 90% of those cases were tied directly to meth use In the parents.

I'm not going to read the whole thread. From what I've had explained to me heroin users, and coke addicts say not to trust meth addicts. They will do worse things while on the drug, and to get the drug. It basically makes you a psychopath with lots of energy, and perverse desires that are difficult to satiate. Also, they pick at their faces, and get rotten teeth from drinking sugary drinks.

Absolutely, dope fiends are the most unpredictable addicts I've ever come across. Believe me I've seen it all.

Besides the water heads, those people are terrifying. Luckily, at least in my experience, you don't come across them very often. That's one of the very few things I've refused to do.

Back in the day on the rave scene ppl commonly would do a line or 2 for the night then that was it, but if you smoke or it especially inject then things are going to start going bad real fast. It's a pretty dirty high so I don't recommend it.

Any sherbros from a part of the country where there is a meth problem, fill me in on what is so bad about it. Is it as bad as people say?? I am from chicago and we dont have meth here so im really cuious to heasome stories. The major problem here is heroin. We've got people here who shoot up and nod off with the kid in the car, not to mention the scores of people who just die as teenages after trying it a few times, and the many who are strung out somewhere on the west side and might as well be dead. I can't imagine an upper being worse than that. Full disclosure: i've done metric tons of cocaine in my life. I'v tried crack once or twice, and didnt think it was that big of a deal. But never, ever, done heroin because of all the destruction i saw as a young kid.

I'd bet it's pretty bad but still overblown. They always make shit seem worse than it is to get us to avoid it. Except Trump. He's as bad as they say.

LMAO - Meth is everywhere in the US, Jeanyus.

And there's lots of it in Chicago, TS just doesn't know where to find it. Chicago is one of the main cities in the US that the Sinaloa cartel ships a fuckload of drugs to, and we all know they are the main supplier of meth in the world.
