I seem to recall Merab revealing in the past few weeks that he's injured and, to me, this fight seemed to spring out of nowhere not long before that.

Is this another case of UFC doing everything it can to rig a title for O'Malley? Did they make this fight as soon as they learned Merab was injured?

It sucks to be a fan right now because the UFC has compromised its product so much that fans have no way of knowing if any fight, fighter or division can be trusted as presented. The lengths they went to the first time O'Malley got the title definitely fit my definition of fight fixing.

Nothing so bad that he has to pull out. He does crazy stuff, and injuries can happen.

But he’ll be as close to 100% as possible for a guy like him.

Merab always leaks an "injury" prior to his fights. How do you clown shoes not get this by now?? 🤡👠

Great. Now I have a 47th person in ignore

The UFC is doing the same thing they did for the Aljo vs Sean fight, making the champion train for another 5 round fight before making a quick turn around vs O'Malley who had more time to recover and get ready.

It was worse than that. Aljo was interested and wanted to delay the fight by 3 months so he could get surgery for his injury. The UFC refused, forcing him to fight on O'Malley's training schedule, and said they'd strip him of the belt. Then Aljo tried to move the fight to an earlier date, so neither he nor O'Malley would be peaking. The UFC refused and Aljo had to fight O'Malley while injured, needing surgery, when O'Malley would be peaking from his fight camp.

Sean's good but the ufc has gifted this guy every opportunity. You have to win but they set up every fight as easy as possible

I mean he hurt his pinky toe about 2 wings ago. Not sure if that's what you're referencing?

He's marketable. Its the fight business. He's also very good. So who cares lol. Entertaining good fighter gets more chances than not entertaining good fighter. Shocking turn of events. Its always been this way. Will always be this way.
