I agree with Joe and Jimmy, they´re right. Zabit's striking is definitely on a different level if compared to Khabib's. And he had an incredible performance imo. Not that Khabib's dominance using his wrestling wasn´t incredible either, but his striking really is sloppy and he has glaring defensive holes.
All those jabs Khabib landed was mostly because Al was 100% worried about tdd, not because Khabib is a great striker, but the truth is they weren´t doing any big big damage. The way Al was leaving himself open for shots, Khabib should´ve KOed him using him hands. (not taking anything away from Al here, true warrior) So, both offensively and defensively, Khabib's striking is sloppy.

I won't say "better". he just different than Khabib. While Khabib relies on his wrestling, Zabit relies more on his striking.

Zabit is a great fighter in his own right and weight class. What we saw yesterday was pure mma gold.

That judo leg sweep takedown by Zabit has to be one of the nicest takedowns ive seen. The guy is a phenomal 2 way fighter

Zabit is great but he is no Khabib. His striking defense wasn't great and his cardio definitely needs improvement. I think he is way too big for FW and he'd fare better at LW. Zabit is championship material but I do not see him dominating like Khabib is dominating.

Zabit could fight different if he knew it was 5 rounds but he showed he wasn't ready for rounds 4 and 5 yesterday.

Look forward to his next fight very much though and was thrilled that fight didn't get buried on fight pass prelims.

Zabit's fought multiple same day fights in amateurs, so don't count on that too much. He needs some work still but i think the hand injury exacerbeted the look of exhaustion.

khabib is more one dimensional than zabit. zabit has great standing and ground game...not just good, but really good...he does need to work on a couple of things though...nothing major...like maybe keeping your hands up more. stop throwing so many fancy kicks, to avoid gassing late in the fight...but he showed heart also...

They were very critical of khabib...but what I saw was a total beat down...khabib didn't do as much on the ground as he normally does..he normally pounds the guys face in on the ground...but he wasn't really able to do that as much...but he was very dominant on the ground and also dominant in the standup...Al barely landed anything all night...a couple of punches here and there, but nothing solid...and khabib showed some good cardio...and proved, when he really wants to, can take you down, whenever he wants...he proved that by taking Al down in the 5th round...

Honestly, I think it's almost 50/50 with his striking and ground game..he took Boch down multiple times throughout the fight...with some really good takedowns..that head and leg sweep was unreal...almost comical in a way...every fighter has holes...they all do...khabib, his stand up isn't that great..he defense isn't that great...you can find holes in every fighters game...with conor, with tony and even with Zabit...zabit gassed a bit near the end...tends to stand straight up and not move his head. but, he does have this way of avoiding strikes though...always seems to get his head out of the way...
