I've tried so many times. also i grew up with xbox not ps2, and it only had substance not snake eater/subsistance.

Thankfully snake eater delta is coming out and I'll force my way through that

Unironically, the gamecube remake of MGS 1 is the best in the series. MGS 1 with all of the features/camera of snake eater and updated (for the time) graphics. I absolutely loved it.

Unironically, the gamecube remake of MGS 1 is the best in the series. MGS 1 with all of the features/camera of snake eater and updated (for the time) graphics. I absolutely loved it.

Playing MGS1 was a mind fuck at the time. My brother and I were like 'WTF' for the entire game, especially Psycho Mantis. It's dated and isn't the best, the memory of it might be top tier in my mind. It's up there with FFVII on PSOne, GTA3, A Link to the Past and Mass Effect as games that are just burned into my brain. They've been surpassed technically but they're so seminal to my childhood as a gamer.
