He's just immature and has a big ego. He thinks he is slick by crying and asking for forgiveness after he gets in trouble, and then does some more stupid shit a year or two later.

He's not learning from his mistakes. He has a wife and kids but still acts like a clown. He really needs to do some inner growth and sort his shit out.

I wonder if his wife will leave him after this. Might be the wake up call he needs or he might spiral, who knows.

Over the years he’s constantly eluded to “drinking less”. (which is what alcoholics always attempt to do in order to exert some form of control over their drinking, that they’re usually in denial of) But anyway, as someone who’s struggled with alcoholism before, I’ve been through similar issues myself. I’ve attempted to limit my drinking which works for a period of time, until I find a reason to drink heavily (sayyy, maybe if I was inducted into the hall of fame!) n then it’s almost as if my body makes up for lost time. I lose all semblance of control, and just. go. crazy.

I could be wrong but as someone who destroyed his life for many years, I see similar issues with Jones.
I used to get the same way with booze and coke until I discovered phenibut. I take a 1g scoop once every 2 months or so when I'm feeling like I need to let loose. Puts me in a good mood, makes me more social, and when it wears off I get phenomenal sleep. I have no desire to drink when I'm on it. It's more of an "in case of emergency, break glass" type of deal, but if you're self-destructive when drunk, it's a good alternative.

People should know that for the most part psychology is pseudoscience with no real scientifc value. The vast majority of psychology papers can't even be reproduced.

No one really understand how humans brain work and why people behave the way they do. So all these fancy names that people likes to throw around to describe mental health issues are stuff that we barely understand

With that being said, we can clearly see some problems with Jones:
He's an alchoolic
His intelligence seems to be fairly low
He's very immature
He has low impulse control
He's involved in a violent sport

He seems to have some sort of self hate/low self esteem (could be an inferiority complex related with his brothers, but again, this is psychology bullshit that we don't really understand)

He finds excuses for himself saying that other people do worse things (which is usually a dangerous state of mind)

He's too arrogant (or too dumb) to accept that he has the issues above

what exactly? exactly what's happening with thousands of other habitual violent criminals. he just happens to be a fighter and in the public eye.

He is an alcoholic. Needs to give up drink and hard drugs and just smoke weed for a release instead.

This is nothing but someone with Anxiety and depression and self medicates with drugs that end up making things worse. He could also be Bi Polar. JBJ needs to stay away from all social drugs and alcohol and get on a mental health regimine.

Unfortunately women involved with abusive types don't always leave after getting beat up.

No way in hell anyone has a chance at defending themselves

Narcissist?
it's this. a sense of entitlement the size of the universe. add in the fact that the guy has gotten away with murder for so long that he thinks he's bulletproof and you wind up with a complete monster (see donald trump).

His success in the octagon is tied to his failures outside of it. He's got a psychopathic need to win and I guess there is no off switch. It was either Rampage or DC that said he will do anything to win. Even if it kills a competitor. No mystery why he can't get it together in every day life.

He probably has something like borderline personality disorder or a God complex, and it gets out of control with drugs/alcohol.

Jon is probably one of those guys that should just live clean. I know several people like this in my circle. I can't imagine what they'd be like if the were a professional athlete with a massive bank account.

I just recently had a falling out with a buddy that has a lot of narcissistic traits like Jones. He's a hoot , and a fun guy, but he's a total POS at te end of the day. Those types rarely have any real close friends. I suspect Jones is like that. Has lots of acquaintances, but nobody really close to him, including his brothers. Apparently, Chandler barely communicates with him anymore.

He went out, got hammered, wife tried to leave him, he damaged the car so she couldn’t .....

He’s not a narcissist. Conor McGregor = narcissistic personality disorder. Jon Jones never overly compliments himself or lashes out when his ego is tested. If that were the case he would never have showed up to the hall of fame inductions when Dana won’t pay him his $30 million for Ngannou fight.

Bones has classic Bipolar Personality Disorder. This is where a person is well mannered and morally sound one minute and then completely unpredictable and poor impulse control the next. You mix in alcohol or go off your meds and the crazy side comes out.
I don’t see Conor as cunning enough to be a true sociopath or narcissist. He’s very famous and is now used to spotlight, that’s different than Jon’s case who doesn’t have the celebrity of Conor
