it’s actually known between mental health professionals that a lot of overdoses and life changing events occur after a person has had some type of recognition or completed a feat that releases massive amounts of dopamine. They work so hard for that moment in the sunshine that when they finally get there they can’t control themselves and they want more of that feeling. I imagine Jon Jones was really happy, went to get more of that same feeling after the HOF ceremony and ended up in a domestic dispute with his wife because of it.

I can’t say that Jones doesn’t need jail time because I don’t have the details of his newest arrest, but, what do you think 1-2 years in jail does? How does he come out of that better?

I think he’d be much better off for house arrest only allowed to go to “work.” No alcohol allowed in the home. Frequent drug tests obviously. No DL. Do THAT for a year with a rigorous behavioral program of some kind and basically say this is your last chance.

Assuming this DV charge is something minor like grabbing someone’s wrists or holding them because they were hitting you or something.
