Feel like the dude came in that spot almost out of nowhere

If he beat Jiri he will be legit in my book

I don't see anyone beating him for the next few years. He is Israel adesanya 2.0 but with ko power and better boxing

He’s not really a champion though, he’s the paper champ of a paper champ division.

Jones the rightful LHW champ moves up. Glover eventually wins the prop belt, gets finished by Jiri who eventually can’t compete because of injury, then the UFC makes the prop belt of a prop belt and has Jan and Ank fight to a draw… the UFC then further delegitimizes their division by calling up a 50 year old who just got finished and a one dimensional boxer who got mangled by journeyman Paul Craig and outgrappled by a 1-5 Santos…

UFC really needs to raise GOAT Bones Jones Salary if they want him to fix these cesspool divisions.

He's the most LHW champ ever tho (athletic guy with no grappling and mid fight iq)

That's like the prototype of the regular LHW

Unfortunately this is all true.

Its not just the champ... generally IDGAF about the LHW Division right now to be honest, worst div in the Ufc RIGHT NOW braahhhh

EVER!? Of course not. He is a legitimate UFC champion. Glover Texeira was a tough UFC veteran of championship caliber, and Hill made him look bad.

Does he lack hype right now? Of course. The former champion (Jiri) wasn't defeated but vacated due to injury, and this is 205 which will carry the shadow of Jon Jones over it for a while. But Hill will gain some serious hype if he beats Jiri and looks good doing it.

Jan didn't have much hype. Dude was the underdog in most of his fights.

No shit, Jan is clearly the least hyped champ, probably in UFC history. He had to hype himself. Dana was hoping Jan would lose every fight he was in, he was literally sent in to lose against Rockhold, Souza, Corey Anderson, Reyes, and Izzy. He was supposed to be the stepping stone for all of them.
