Is it worth seeing Jimmy Carr live?

I saw him live once and it was a great show, can't say the same for Bro Rogan on the other hand. Had to endure 10 minutes of him sexually caressing a stool, not even joking.
Furniture stool, or fecal stool?

So, I just saw that Jimmy Carr will be in my country in march and as I've been watching a lot of his content lately, I was thinking of going. Has anyone been to one of his shows? Is it worth it?
I'm particularly curious how he handles hacklers in a foreign country.

Havent seen him but if i wanted to go to a comedy show he'd be on my list, genuinely funny bloke.

With regards to hecklers I'm tipping he's going hard wherever he is, can give a spray that's for sure.

Saw him some time last year and he was pretty good. Never paid that much attention to him on TV but his standup is worth seeing imo

I've seen him live.

I see a lot of stand up and rate him very good, but not quite great.

I am pretty tough though on any form of shock humor and expect the comedian to not just rely on the shock value of saying something, few would say, to get a laugh and instead i really expect a really good joke to underlie it. Meaning if you took the shock words out, it should still be funny.

He mostly passes that test. Builds good stories, but is bit to reliant on the shock value, at points to get my top rating.

BUt that is just me. Comedy taste is super objective so just watch some youtube standup he does.

Never liked him at all, his style does nothing for me.
I don't think you're old enough to remember Charles the ventriloquist dummy? Carr reminds me of him. I do like him though and I do miss 8 Out of 10 Cats.

The idea of attending a comedy show in a large venue is just weird to me. Comedy is supposed to be intimate.

I like him well enough and it's a night out so I would go. I go see some awful amateur night stuff as my Trans friend is a comedienne. She is good but is on some awful cards. I still have a blast. I guess I wouldn't if I was sober at the shows, but I'm not so it's a moot question.

Why is it supposed to be intimate?

My only regret with the many comedy events I've attended was getting really drunk with my sister in law before the last time we saw Eddie Izzard. We were obnoxiously loud when we didn't even know we were so someone complained. Which I completely understand. We were pretty embarrassed, we're normally completely well behaved at any event.
