It’s not random at routine traffic stopstheir job is not to randomly stop, question, and search citizens.

I didn't say anything about the first amendment. I didn't say anything about the second, that was all your misguided assumptions.
You can evoke the founding documents as a form of argument but I can't?
How is freedom of movement not an essential human right?
Misguided assumptions? Dude this is your first reply to me:
So as you can see, that was me evoking the founding documents (which the 1A and 2A happen to be found in) in support of my argument . . .
Not being able to drive a car doesn't prevent freedom of movement. You're still free to travel . . . just not legally able to drive a motor vehicle.
Not owning a gun doesn't prevent you from defending yourself.
their job is not to randomly stop, question, and search citizens.
Correct. But the 2A clearly provides for that where those other founding documents don't for privately owning a vehicle . . .
Luckily for me my whole beat is one giant crack house. It has some charming little views though. If you work in a gang infested area it’s literally simple math. If you have probable cause to make a stop 1 out of 10 will likely yield an illegal gun.I was mostly anti ticket unless it was a more serious violation. I used to do my pretext stops to id shady people leaving crackhouses-got quite a few guns that way and served tons of warrants
Stop and frisk is still a thing.

Cops are civilians. I know they generally don't refer to themselves as such but they are. And if they can be trained to conduct a traffic stop, so can other people. It's no different than training a specialist in any field.I am Mixed on this. I can see things getting worse, not better with civilians doing traffic stops. I can see civilians being afraid to stop some people and sticking to the suburbs and having no discretion about tickets and that it would be only for revenue at that point.
your sentence implies that the other poster has been stopped multiple times and never been issued a citation, but i am guessing you were trying to refer to yourselfWhat are you trying to say is wrong
What's offensive is black people being pulled over far more than others and that being the reason they're caught more often.I always knew who the people with suspended licenses were and they were usually trouble. You would see Johnny shitbag, whom you have gotten guns off of, driving suspended and pull him over and get drugs or guns or he has a warrant, etc. their reasoning is that it targets black people, so they are saying that black people don’t have valid licenses. Kind of offensive if you ask me
I can't edit this but if I could, I'd add my remark is based on your apparently obvious trolling, since there's no way you are that dumb.@nhbbear were you trying to be an ignorant bitch with that comment or did it just come naturally?
"like"before i was a cop i had long hair and metallica stickers on my car etc .. (played drums in an anthrax pantera sepultura type band etc)
cops would pull me over and rip my car apart looking for weed or something .. im glad that as a cop i was never that type of person to anyone .. i even let most kids with weed go probably based on all that harassment i took as a teen

Lawyers use paralegals, chefs use a variety of specialists, hospitals use nurses and/or physician's assistants, a general contractor hires a separate electrician, plumber, carpenter. In many circumstances, specialists work better than generalists. There's nothing particular to traffic stops that prevents the hiring and training of specialists for it.
What are you gonna do? Karate? Not owning a gun doesn't prevent you from defending yourself.
Sarcasm? Traffic stops are essential to public safety. Timothy McVeigh was apprehended on a traffic stop ffs.I’m good without traffic stops..sounds like progress.
