is it possible to cut 5lbs in 2 days?

im just wondering if it is possible to cut 5lbs of water in 2 days and if it runs a risk of death... i would doubt it does but what i got planned is to wear a sauna suit while working out for the last 2 days before i weigh in. should i drink lots of water? im kinda lost on the whole how to cut weight thing..
 
also should i work out the day of the contest? if anyone has a great links to a site that shows how to cut exess water weight i would greatly appriciate it.. i really need to drop 5 lbs next saturday and sunday.
 
are you coulding me? YOu could drop five pounds of water in two minutes if you try hard enough.
 
5 lbs of water weight is very little, assume you aren't already dehyrdated. Fighters often drop 10, 15 lbs of water weight. For so little as 5 lbs, I would recommend sitting in the sauna room for a few hours (taking breaks to weigh yourself) WITHOUT the sweat suit. You simply don't need it. Even if you didn't have a sauna, you could easily throw on some sweatpants and a sweatshirt and run off 5 lbs of water. If you are still concerned about possible adverse effects, convince a buddy to come along with you to keep an eye on you and make sure you don't pass out in the sauna or whatever.
 
abolene plus a sanua= 5 pounds in 30 to 45 minutes
 
man i keep hearing about the sauna but we dont have one here.. that sux.. oh well il see what i can do thanks guys...

Go to the YMCA or any other gym / pool, and buy a Day Pass, most of those places will have a sauna.
 
eat chicken with rice and drink a lot of water you will get ripped and lose weight real quick

Go to the pharmacy and get some Fleet. That stuff will clean you out for sure....junk in your colon...and water.

If it's just five pounds, go the colon cleansing route. I'd look into some orally administered colon cleanser rather than the Fleet enema, nut that's just my personal opinion. 5 lbs is nothing assuming you're a reasonably healthy adult.
 
You will loose about a 16-18 ounces of water while sleeping and you can loose about a pound to 3 in a hour of skipping rope.

Fleet has some stuff you drink.....sort of lemony. I think you mix it with water and drink it. It's not too bad....as in it won't have you going all day. I had to use 16oz before a.....well....a test :)
 
Depends on a couple of factors:

What weight are you competing at, and how much time do you have between weigh-in and competition?

If you weigh 170+ pounds, then losing 5 pounds of water weight should come off without much of a problem. Just wear sweats during your training. I found that during two hours of wrestling practice with sweats on last year, when I was competing at 190, I would lose 9 pounds a practice. Regardless, I would stay away from laxatives and diuretics. Those just drain a significant amount of energy, even if you have weigh-ins the day before a competition.
