Is it possible that Jose Aldo is past his prime at such a young age?

He looked good in the Chad fight so I think he'll be fine.

Joe Riggs is 32. OMG

Yes, it is possible. I was listening to Chael's podcast and he had Kurt Angle on. Kurt was talking about his nephew that retired from wrestling at age 23 because he basically had 100 matches per year since the age of 4 and burned himself out.

Its not about age, its about wear and tear.

Of course he could be. People are not the same. Still was able to beat Mendes pretty clearly in his last bout and that was most likely the best fight of his career.

Stupid white belt threads.
They so rarely have anything worth starting a thread about it's hard to imagine a good reason they don't have to earn the right.
But this thread is more good evidence the rule should change.

Battle-hardened. And where Conor talks about his movements/reflexes/being comfortable in the environment with a philosophical flair, Aldo possesses the same talents without having to mention it at all.

This fight gone be good.

I think the mendes fight probably gave him so mileage

Nah, he'll just move in to that old man strength phase.

No, I don't think so. Aldo is the #1 p4p fighter right now. Still gonna lose the belt, but he will smash anyone in the division but Conor.

Yes. Absolutely.

He is past his prime. I'm sure. WEC Aldo beats the crap out of UFC Aldo. 100%.

Even though Jose Aldo is only 28 years old I've noticed recently that he looks a lot older in the face than most men his age?

I wonder if being such a dominant fighter so long has maybe started to take an effect on him?

Like even though Conor is only 2 years younger, he and Jose look 15-20 years apart in age and I don't remember Jose looking this way 2 years ago.

Edit: It could be just that I'm seeing more of Jose than I usually do, so maybe I'm noticing more flaws than I had before? Most of time we see Jose in it's a short interview on in the ring.

McGregor looks older for his age than Aldo imo. McGregor looks like he's 32-33, the only thing really old looking about Aldo is that his hairline is receding. Other than that I can buy 28.
