I've been on a a diet but recently this past 3 weeks I've been getting triple whoppers and Lg chicken rings everyday for lunch and dinner. If I run 1 mile a day will I still keep the weight off?

Is this supposed to be satire? Eating a huge fast food meal every day won't kill your overnight, and it doesn't guarantee that you're putting on more weight (in terms of weight it's just calories in fat, carbs, and protein). But it isn't healthy.

You're also not 'cheating' on your diet. You've been doing this for 3 weeks. Your diet now involves a large fast food meals primarily. That's your diet.

You're not on some like... other diet WITH fast food. No you're on a fast food diet.

Edit: That's like being totally sober, like alcoholics anonymous and then you start having like... 3-5 shots of whiskey a day and you're posting "Is that considered not being sober?'

I run 1 mile everyday of the week

If you're trying to get ripped then what you're doing is a very bad idea. Don't eat junk for everyday. You WILL get fatter even if you run a mile a day and you won't see the results you want. I've actually heard that having a cheat day once a week is good for you because the junk food ensures that your metabolism doesn't slow down too much. Basically a cheat day tells your body that you are not starving and can actually help fat loss. This is for bodybuilders though not for people who are obese. If you want to lose a lot of fat you should eat as healthily as possible every day.

Its just one day, everyone falls of the horse once in awhile. Whats important is that you don't start thinking you'll "start fresh tomorrow" and continue gorging for the rest of the week/month/etc. With that mindset, tomorrow never comes.

Say you eat at maintenance, and you go on a 10k calorie binge, you'd probably gain 2lbs of fat (rest in water, etc). To really "burn" the weight off, you have to drastically improve your activity level all week, not just one day. So its better to chalk it up to a loss, and move on. Look at it like you went to the casino, and played at the slots, and lost. No point in trying to work an extra 3h overtime the next day to make up for it.

No 1 mile a day will not burn all those calories.

No, eat only cabbage and drink water to get the physique you want

It's a cheat "day"....

As mentioned by another poster, if it's repeated often, it becomes "regular" and "habit" but more importantly, no longer a special "day".

Just go another week and make it a cheat month.

Or that, the eternal bulk.

I've been told a mile a day keeps the doctors away then get a Triple Whoppers after your done

Yes one mile will burn plenty calories. You are doing it right.

I suggest ben and jerrys + whey after the workout to not enter catabolism and perhaps as soon as you wake up for clean carbs (dairy) and protein.

Good job
