Or is it me? I look up at the envelope and assume the new message is new.

Right, I just responded to a mod who popped up at the top of my PMs, I'm not going to name him but I'm pretty sure I got that message 6 months ago.

I'm not going to name him, because why would I, but...

I responded, like a twat thinking it was new...again.
 
Again, if I'm doing something wrong...tell me.

Click on the envelope and then at the bottom of the drop down menu you'll see show all. From their you can select messages individually.
 
Can you screenshot an example please and also how I do multiples?
