In other significant markets, particularly Europe and South America, the UFC makes its money from deals with satellite/cable channels not covered by PPV numbers.

Thus, far more relevant to a fighter's stardom is their social media reach, an international measure of their popularity, fan engagement and power.

Ronda smashes Anderson on FB, but Anderson destroys all other fighters in Twitter numbers by more than double.

That's not even a little true. The celebrities' managers/agents pay for the fake accounts to follow them.

Ronda is by far the most famous in the US. To do a global comparison would require a lot of research.

well think of it like this.. I have 306 friends on facebook, and most of them are from my old college, and the rest are from my work, and some social friends I met. Right now it's Conor. His PPV numbers and gates prove that. He has offers to do the Hollywood stuff too like Ronda but I doubt he will. This Mayweather vs McGregor boxing match talk, if it actually happens (I'll give it a 5% chance), he'll be far more well known than anybody in the history of MMA even in a loss.
