Is Hernandez the 1st guy to evolve beyond the Dagestanis???

Obviously you're jumping the gun on this won as Hernandez needs to fight some Top 5 guys first...

But I will say he and Sean Brady are some of the more interesting American fighters right now
  • No college wrestling background. Fluffy wrestled in high school until he got kicked off the team for bad grades. Not sure if Brady ever wrestled.
  • Both combine wrestling, BJJ and striking in a way that overwhelms their opponents
Fluffy more so tires the fighter to the point where they can't defend themselves and chokes them out where Brady is more technique and strength. Brady is more positional on the ground where Fluffy floats and lets you get positions just to make you work. I don't see the similarities in the slightest aside from them both mostly relying on grappling.

Hernandez brought back excitement to UFC. Similar like Khabib

Khabib probably wrestled from age 4, and Hernandez probably from high school. Thats what makes the differencee.

See how is Khabib built more solid, imo.

Bo was already the first Dagestani killer in a division with no notable dagestani fighters. Not sure if another one is needed.

And before people start saying random Russians like Khamzat and French kickboxer Imavov...Those are not the the dagestani.
Where you been... Boo got fraud checked... Fucking quit...

I know

But that doesnt change the fact that he claimed to be dagestani killer in a division with no dagestani fighters. I guess Ikram is one but thats just mean to target one upcoming guy.

Roman is a Gatekeeper journeyman fighter. Hes fought somid journeyman no serious contentendrers. He got kod by his toughest opponent Holland ffs. Let's see him win a few big fights before this talk

Hernandez still hasn't beaten anybody worth a damn. He looked good, but his skillset is still pretty limited in terms of the arsenal of attacks he actually has; he's typically just spamming underhook shucks, ducks under strines, and double legs. That shit would not/ will not work as well against more technical guys. He's also shown huge weakness to the body in several fights. I think once he reaches the top 5-ish guys the train will come off the tracks a little bit, especially someone who can really make him pay on the feet.

Alex Pereira has evolved past them, too. He will show that in the rematch... And he will show even more, he will win the rematch and go to heavy....

I think Merab is.

Fluffy.. I fucking hate his style but he is pretty effective. He beat Dolidze who is a bum. I'm excited to see how Hernandez matches up with the Borralhos of the MW division.

Like a clown ? It was a good close fight.

It was indeed a good close fight, but Umar was on the ground pulling somersaults at one point, and that's definitely clown behavior. Not hating on him for that at all btw, it was a great somersault.

He drowns people better than Khabib. The integration of striking to wrestling, ability to exhaust opponents. He is better than all those people at doing that stuff.

If Hernandez was 155 and fought Khabib, we would have seen Khabib on the bottom gasping for air, broken.

Why don’t people add context to their statements?

One was a champion fighting elite guys

The other one is a middle of the pack guy who got folded in under a minute by Kevin Holland and fights other gatekeepers.

It’s as stupid as the people trying to compare Fluff to Merab. There’s levels to this game, it’s why Fluff is stuck fighting the mediocre guys like Michel and Dolidzes of the division lol

Um no. He's a MW cross between Randy/Cain and a bit sloppier

I'm just observing his technical skills. Hernandez broke the dagestani code. He uses all their little tricks that other fighters can't seem to pick up on, but he's added a whole new layer to their game. You wanna talk about Levels, that's where the Levels are, in the technique!!!!

When Fluffy drowns Khamzat or Ikram, will you admit that you were wrong???
