Is having a Buff and Ripped Muscles an advantage in MMA?

Can't really pay any attention to your threads because of your AV.

It's only important if you're canadian since 99.5% of canadians are gay

You can believe your warped view of reality if that's what you really think.

Anyways, back to a more rational discussion. Too much muscle mass will affect a figher's endurance due to oxygen consumption hence why being overly "buff" would be detrimental. Fitness, core strength and athleticism combined with a high skillset is far more advantageous.

It's not gay, it's called metrosexuality.
It just happens that we're well groomed and have better hygiene compared to our North American Hillbilly counterpart.

GOAT says no.
Arlovski's Chin don't have muscles, even his beard can't provide any extra protection.

weirdest and most disappointing fight ever. I wouldve bet my fucking house one of them was getting laid out.

side note muscles are always an advantage for breeding purposes

It's an advantage in that it typically means your strong(er) but it's definitely not ideal for combat (although many fighters have proven that point to be contestable i.e. Ubereemm, Shamrock, etc.) Generally speaking though, being buff would probably best be connected to a disadvantage: a smaller gas tank - due to the vast amount of needed oxygen.

Note that their is a HUGE difference between being "buff" and being lean.
