Is gsp vs Hendricks still the most controversial fight of all time ?

You had Dana White, the promoter, saying his cash cow had clearly lost the fight. Every single media outlet scored the fight for GSP, which is probably unprecedent in a tittle fight.

....it's not "half of the members crying"...it's fucking evidence. If it should be called a robbery Im not sure, I certainly understand why Hendricks feel that way.

Oh that's right, NOW we always take Dana's word oin things, and of course when it comes to GSP as we all know Dana absolutely loves GSP.

I always take Dana's word as gospel, much like when he said GSP wasn't coming to the press conference as he was at the hospital, only to have gSP show up, and didn't they attempt and take his belt from the locker room? Dana has always had a hate on for GSP.

At the end of the day it was a close fight, and there are no worngs when people score the ifght for either guy. Neither one popped so both were as clean as they needed to be, GSP even did extra testing.

Depends on GSP is still on the juice.

Lmfao you're a disingenious fuck aren't you? What makes you think USMAN isn't cheating he's even more ripped than georges

Of course Dana White was going to say that since his "cash cow" just retired with the belt minutes earlier. If you are going to quit the UFC, Dana would like you to lose and create a new legitimate/lineal champ.

You reply basically consists on discrediting Dana as a lier, even when such lie doesnt benefits the interests of him as a promoter whatsoever. Maybe you think he has some personal hate towards Georges or something.
Like it's hard for you to believe that Dana genuinely thought Hendricks won that fight, even when it concurs with the opinion of every single media outlet...

C'mon dude, cut the BS. It was easily the most controversial tittle fight of all-time and there is not even the slighest doubt who won the fight in terms of damage infflicted. You can only hope to nitpick some scoring in a given round to try and present is a fair win for GSP but as you saw, not a single media outlet nor the promoter of such fight himself agree on that

Cool story, dude. Let's pretend it is an accident that Dana's opinion concurs with that of every single media outlet.
Im sure Dana told to his close friends in private that he thought GSp won, uh? like absolutely nobody who watched that fight and isnt a GSP fanboy.

That's not at all what i said but okay, write your own narrative. I think Hendricks won btw.
I don't care what Dana think, but i'm convinced that if GSP didn't retire after the fight, Danz would have at best said something along the line of "It was a close fight, we can think of a rematch". He would have never shitted on GSP if he could still make him money.

That's what you want to believe for some reason.
Dana lies about many things but he has always been pretty honest regarding who won a fight in his eyes. And in this case there is definitely even less of a doubt when its UNDENIABLE who won the fight in terms of damage and Dana has always been the type of guy who favours damage over points.

But hey, if you just want to discredit anything from Dana's mouth it's ok. In this case I think it's a dishonest argument.

Look at Izzy vs Romero.

He blamed Romero when it was both guys fault.
But Izzy was the younger draw.

He also blaimed Nate Marquardt for his boring main event vs Okami, despite being more of a draw than Yushin and being Okami one the most conservative fighters ever.

The fact you needed to retort to a fight where nothing happened - which is exactly what Dana hates - in this discussion up is pretty telling about how some of you purposely refuse to be objective and unbiased.

Dana declaring the winner the guy who pushed the action and did the more damage BY FAR - who was Hendricks - is not surprise for absolutely anyone, and doesnt relate at all with Israel vs Yoel.

But hey, if some of you want to keep denying the evidence it's ok.

So we are biased and subjective because we refuse to use Dana's opinion as an evidence ? Again, i repeat, i think Hendricks won, and i don't say Dana's is dishonest, i'm just saying that's a very unreliable facts to use in this topic.

It's a fact that came toguether with the opinion of every media outlet. And even you admit Dana wasnt being dishonest in this case.

So you discrediting Dana's opinion on this particular case doesnt seems very objective.

I will discredit Dana as a liar, because that is what he does. He may genuinely believe Hendricks won that fight, but w ehave learned many times over he will say whatever he feels will be the most benefit to the brand. You can call it BS all you want.

No, that's not what he does relating judges decisions. He doesnt lie about it. That's not his tendency, that's not what we learned.

It doesnt benefit him - as a promoter and as a betting man - when judges have it wrong. Especially when they have it wrong favouring the fighter that infflected less damage and didnt push the action as much.

So yeah, its BS discrediting his take in this case around that argument. I also refered to it along with EVERY single media outlet. The fact you wanted to nitpick Dana as a liar from my argument is another sign that you dont want really want to be objective here

It all comes down to round 1, and who people thought won it. You feel Hendricks did more damage and pushed the pace, the judges and some people felt the opposite. Dana's opinion is nothing more than that, an opinion. How am I not being subjective? I have stated multiple times I have no issue on which side people fall on, as IMHO both have a fight in the battle and it wasn't the worst robbery of all time, just a very close fight, and again come down to how you scored round 1.

With all the gear that Hendricks was on, why does anyone even think this close fight should have gone to Hendricks? Everyone saw what Hendricks was after testing.

I would not call it the worst robbery of all-time neither but this thread asks if it was "the most controversial" and regarding championship fights, I would say it is. And every media outles attest for it.

Yeah, you can discredit them saying are "nothing more than opinions" just like you do with Dana and it's ok. What can I say? For me, they are evidences that, indeed, it was the most controverial judges decision in a champioship bout that I can remember.

Dana was like a bitter ex girlfriend when GSP won that fight. Lol he was desperate to get that belt on Hendricks since he knew GSP was retiring

I think that's the press conference where Dana asked the media if anyone thought GSP won and Dave Meltzer said he did and I dont think he ever got a media pass from the UFC again

Yeah, every single media outlet who scored the fight with Hendricks were bitter girlfriends too, uh?
