I assume you mean, striker that had taken part in MMA bouts?
And even then it's difficut, because lots of K1 greats had like a couple big fights in PRIDE or DREAM and then went back to kickboxing...
Like Stefan Leko, who got sub'd by a couple Olympic Judokas (Naoya Ogawa and KazNak, plus ol' Minowaman of course; I remember the Minowa bout in particular got some K1 heads to call bullshit on it being a legit fight)
Same for Badr Hari, who had one MMA bout in the early 2000s and got submitted in 10 seconds or something
Now that both Cédric "Le Meilleur" Doumbé, and Jimmy "Le Guépard" Viennot have gotten their first MMA bout in 2021, do they qualify?
Pound 4 pound, I would say that Doumbé is the better striker
And all of this is coming from a massive
"Bon Gamin" fanboy, my post history doesn't lie; I've been hugging his nuts since he easily finished
Adam "Kung Fu Panda" Dyczka in his second fucking MMA fight ever, that's huge!
Adamn was 12-0 and Gane sent him back to boxing where the competition is easier.
When it comes to Ciryl's muay thai credentials, I admit that I've only seen 2 of his fights... the famous one against Yassine Boughanem
(younger brother of one of the greatest farangs, Youssef Boughanem; he's not very popular around here though)
and when he beat French Brice "The Rico Verhoeven slayer" Guidon...
(here with his training partner Jérôme Le Banner)
But Brice was kind of on a downfall, and he retired right after that last loss (making him 2-9 in his last 11, but with 2 losses to Semmy Schilt followed by a brotal loss to Daniel Ghita)
Ciryl Gane could very well be one of the best HW striker to have competed in the UFC, but we'll need to watch more of him.
He didn't have much competition in muay thai at HW, even if Yassine gave him a tough fight.
Let's hope we can see a rematch with Ngannou down the road, their first fight was such a downer...
