It seems like Featherweight contains the most guys who have the most unique fighting styles and aren't just the kind of muay thai-kickboxing generic all-round striking that most MMA fighters learn.

Holloway: Boxing
Yair: Taekwondo
Topuria: Boxing
Kattar: Boxing
Chikadze: Karate
Barboza: Muay Thai
Caceres: Kung Fu

And if he hadn't retired we'd have Zabit too who was primarily Kung Fu/Sanda

You put any of these guys in the cage together and 9/10 times it's gonna be a pure striking match where we see style vs. style (adapted to MMA, but still).

Probably. Although WW also has some great striking talent with Wonderboy, Garry, JDM, Edwards, Neal, etc.

In all seriousness, Yes I think so. You also have Sean Woodson who has some solid boxing and Hakeem Dawodu's kickboxing..

Edson's luring around the lower 15 too not sure how he makes 145 but his last 2 FW wins are ko's so there's that

Most of these guys listed are more or less kickboxing/MT or boxing. It's just the meta for MMA. You can't really get away from it.

But they aren't. The "kickboxers" would look nothing like they do if they hadn't trained a different martial art besides general MMA training. You claim Yair, Chikadze, Caceres, Barboza are all "more or less kickboxers" and yet their striking styles are totally different.

These guys their own style but they are definitely not some purist in their training or the way they fight. Kickboxing covers a broad spectrum of different styles too. I think that is what you don't seem to understand.

Yair trains here. Look at his training. He is doing this more than he is doing TKD at this point of his career.
