There was a thread a few days ago about your phone listening to you, in which someone posted a video where a couple that didn't even have a cat talked about cat food for a few days and suddenly their ads are all about cat food.

I don't even use facebook, I have an account but never liked a page or post, never posted a single status update, yet somehow, despite having 0 mutual friends and I've never posted my job or location, somehow it keeps suggesting this guy my ex was banging after me, and it's suggested several former coworkers and just suggested a hot married lady I work with currently, who again, I share 0 mutual friends with and have never posted anything about what I do or where I work. It's pretty obviously keeping tabs on who checks your profile. There is literally nothing else it could base this on. I blocked my ex 6 months ago and regularly get "suggested friends" that are her friends with 0 mutual friends.

Just Xxxcept my friend request plz

Do you have your phones gps/location turned on?

That explanation is a bust. I live a good 45 minutes from my ex and haven't been out there since december, I'm 35 minutes from work(where hot married lady lives) and it hasn't given a single other "friend suggestion" from anyone that lives near where I work. The suggestion was also on my alternate account that I just used to make tinder account earlier this year, on which I only have about 11 friends.

couple things

-If someone (an ex, an exs mom etc) looks at your profile they will show up in the rotation some time later.

-When the messenger app is installed on your phone it scours your contact list and cross references those phone numbers on facebook.

My ex's mom had a mutual friend of mine and she shows up in my rotation. I unfriended the mutual and clicked remove however I suspect the ex checked out my page through her moms account, cause she doesn't have one.

I installed instagram and wasn't paying attention to what I clicked accept on. It took every phone number in my list and sent a friend request to them. Here I am about a year later and random old coworkers are clicking accept on that auto friend request.

When I start talking to a chick on tinder I always go and see if they have more photos on facebook. Pretty sure I show up on their list after a few weeks but by then I'm either in dem guts or kicked to the curb so it doesn't matter.

It's been over a year since I deleted Facebook.

Even then, I noticed creepy friend-suggestions. At first, it just seemed like people I didn't know with no mutual friends. Just a weird bug. But I noticed after paying a little more attention that it was often people that I was physically around. People I didn't know, but saw often at a bar I frequent, for example. Or people I'd see at the grocery store I pop by 3-5 times a week.

Shit was weird, and one of the many reasons I ended up deleting Facebook.

I only have a Facebook account because I needed it for Tinder ages ago, so it's just a bunch of pics of me being pretty in a mirror. All my suggested friends are like random hoes from Guatemala and shit. Facebook libs trying to hook me up with illegal immigrants, but I kinda like it. I'd wife a lot of them, but MAGA (Although I live in Canada)

Facebook knows who you are.

That's all it needs to make the connections .

I've gotten my ex's brother's wife like a bunch of times. Never got it once while I was with the ex. I get the feeling the ex might be "checking up" on me through other people's accounts since I blocked her. I'm mostly curious since hot married lady literally has 0 connections to me on facebook, and I chatted with her this morning and then a few hours later she pops up as a friend request.

I got rid of my Facebook as soon as I made the mistake of accepting a friend request from some random chick I banged from work. Next thing I know the whole company is friend requesting me my boss included. Fuck that noise

They don't need to know that. Meet up in Michigan, smash, then boom, separate entirely.

Stay out of there.

It is an extension of hell.

Funny that it's suggesting my sister in laws current boyfriend, and her baby daddy.

I don't even have her as my friend.

Every now and then I'll see my ex's sister or one of her friends as a suggestion.

Now that I know that algorithm nonsense, I kind of chuckle to myself when I see them pop up.

Its magic! Its just suggesting that you should either have sex with that guy or beat him up to death and have sex with that hot office lady.

Your choice

Only thing that weirds me out is when it’s someone with like 25 mutual friends (I only have 167 currently, I deleted hundreds of people once I got in my current relationship, Facebook causes problems in relationships) and it’s all people who are my close friends and I’ve never heard of them before. I be like where the fuck has this person been my entire life that I don’t know them but everyone else does?

I saw the guy like 5 months ago and I think he was trying to size me up cause he was looking at me walking forward but put his head down and side stepped when we got close. I'd kind of be a hypocrite if I beat some guy's ass for my ex being a skank while also banging a married lady myself. Never have, not gonna start, and I also already have a gf for the last few months. I snuck in a few trashy hos during the transition, so I'm all good.

Yup I understand

What I am saying is Facebook is indeed creepy and is trying to turn us into criminals by attempting to trigger us with the friend suggestions.

I know you dont want to rape or kill some one.

Or do you?
:D

If people have your phone number facebook goes through contact lists it will suggest those people and their friends.
