IMO
R1 10-9 Leon
R2 9-10 Usman
R3 8-10 Usman
R4 10-9 Leon
R5 10-9 Leon

David Lethaby's 47-47 seems like the correct score card to me

Yeah the right person won. Usman didn't really do much and was pretty much unsuccessful in his attempts in most rounds. He won some rounds but he did lose majority of the rounds and lost the fight as well. He wasn't active enough and was just a step behind mostly due to Leon fighting on the back foot and making Usman have to use his legs/knees footwork. So Usman spent most of the round trying to chase Leon while Leon was just pepper him with shots while Usman was trying to get in range. Someone like Usman has to be planted in order to throw strikes.

Many fighters are like that so there's a lot of timing that can be taken advantage in fighters like that. Especially if they don't really have footwork/movement, just the footwork and movement will make fighters with no footwork/movement always be a step behind anyways, add in needing to plant their feet first to strike and you will have a lot of openings in the timing to exploit.

I had 49-46 Leon minus a Pt deduction. Knew there would be one moron judge who called it a draw, but it ultimately wouldnt matter as Leon keeps the belt either way.

Thought it was 3-2 so a draw with the point deduction but Usman wasn’t able to do enough to complain.

It is arguable Usman won 2, 3, and 5, but who really wants to make that argument?

I honestly thought it was a 47-47 fight. 1,2 and 5 to Leon. 3 and 4 to Usman.

But I can easily give 4 to Leon as well.. I don't think in any world Usman got the decision and a draw was his absolute best outcome.

Herb's point deduction was theoretically the right thing to do, but it's so very rarely enforced correctly that it felt weird for Herb to bust it out in the middle of a title fight. Hope more Ref's do it though.

Thought 2-3 were close with edge to Usman, 4 close with edge Edwards, 1 and 5 clear Edwards.

Overall Edwards by a fair margin, under current scores w point deduction draw seemed most reasonable to me.

Edwards win some of the time and even Usman win a smaller % of the time if you give him the close rounds are both reasonable by scoring system.

I had it a draw but not going to complain about the scores, I mean they were all pretty close and they were cageside.

Usman didn't do much with his takedowns in round 2 and Edwards landed some good shots.

All the official scorecards were reasonable but I scored it 48-46 Edwards.

I hope all refs do it all the time or never. Selective enforcement is unacceptable.

I'd have to rewatch to give out scores. I did think they were odd when announced though.

After 5, considering the fight as whole, points/rounds/scores not considered, I had Leon as winner.

Yup, to just randomly start enforcing it differently in the middle of a title fight was odd. While he was at it he might as well have put up his middle finger in Leon's face.

It should be done like that all the time though, but I don't expect it to actually happen, selective enforcement.

The funniest part to me was Herb saying this is a hard warning and then says I can't fix the position I have to take a point.

Meh it's close enough. I actually had it a draw because of the deduction but fuck that, we don't need a third fight in a row between these two.
