Lets see. He fought in HW, then became LHW champion. His resume consists of a who's who of strong and dangerous fighters.

Antonio Silva
Barnett
Mir
Nelson
Hendo
Jones
Johnson
Gustafsson
Anderson silva

Dominated them all apart from Gustafsson, and his only loss was a competitive decision to a JUICED Jones.

He achieved all this despite being undersized and starting his MMA career at age 30.

He's got a strong case to make. Outside of the usual suspects, no one has a better resume.

Maybe, only time will tell.

He's already close to top 5 imo.

I really want to know how the ufc justifies Cormier being #40 (or so) on the top 200 fighters.

that a bs list and you know it

rashad faber barao pettis conit chael forrest lol?
to name a few
I said I'd switch around a few. But even there you named Barao and Pettis. Those guys beat the best when they were on top. Can't say the same for Cormier. And those were supposed to be the weak examples from your standpoint.

Not even top 30 P4P and not top 10 alltime at either LHW or HW. Daniel was never the best fighter at HW or LHW.

LOL @ including Anderson as some kind of relevant win. Guy is 0-3-1 in the last 4 years and DC had like 30 pounds on him.
