Not necessarily.. The guy is clearly impressive but he is 1-0 at Welterweight and his biggest win is over Gerald Meerschart who has a UFC record of 6-6.

There are other guys at 170 who have better records over higher ranked people who are not in the top 15. The ONLY reason Chimaev is in the top 15 is because he has a TON of hype behind him. Dont get me wrong, the hype is justified but that doesn't mean he should be in the top 15 at only 1-0 in the division by beating someone who doesn't even have a win in the UFC...

Khamzat is 3-0 in the UFC but his opponents have a combined UFC record of 7-13. That does not warrant a #15 beside your name.

Marvin Vettori and other fighters react and I must agree. Ridiculous example of blatant favoritism by the UFC. Till only has 1 win at 185 and has only won 1 out of his last 4. He shouldn't even be ranked over The Joker.

I'm not a huge fan of till...just seems like he loses all his big fights...was ko'd stiff against Masvidal...got tapped by woodley...Id pick vattorri anyday over him.

See I think Till would beat Vettori personally but I agree, hes definitely doing well popularity/push wise for someone who I wouldn't say is a top level fighter.

I'm not disagreeing with the taking of places but both guys have 1 win against the #4 ranked fighter at that time, of all the things to be outraged in MMA I dunno if 2 guys with the same amount of top 15 wins being one space apart in the rankings is that big of a deal personally.

Till beat Kelvin when Kelvin was ranked in the top 5, and had a decently competitive fight with Whittaker who beat down Cannonier after that.

Hermansson got KO'd by Cannonier and just lost to late replacement Vettori.

Vettori wasnt even in the top 10 until just now as far as i'm aware, and his main claim to fame was having a close fight with Adesanya almost 3 years ago.

Basically...its not like anyone has a clear argument for #4. Theres an obvious drop off after the top 3 (4 before Yoel left).

Rankings rarely ever make sense from top to bottom no matter what. But in the UFC, who cares, generally in the end it all works itself out just fine and we get the matches eventually we want to see many more times than not.

He’s also 9-0 overall with some decent wins outside the ufc and all his fights have been finished within 6 and a half minutes. Again, I don’t get too worked up about rankings and clearly he’s going to get some higher level matchups from here which I think is good and we’ll see. Either he justifies the hype and the ranking or he doesn’t. But him ranked 15 isn’t that egregious to me. He’s obviously higher on the pecking order of whoever would be in front of him otherwise so it’s no big deal in the scheme of things.

Easy way to fix it. Till vs Vettori. It probably should be the next fight for both of them, but I can't remeber who till is booked against next because the post goit removed.

It's a load of crap but it's the UFC rankings so I'm not gonna take it all too seriously.

Till and Vettori have the same amount of top 15 wins at MW between them so it's kinda splitting hairs a bit. Neither should really be ranked that high.

Vettori just beat the number 4 ranked guy. He deserves his spot in top 5.
