Is Dana White Lorenzo Fertittas scapegoat ?

A Lot of people seem to jump the gun and instantly blame Dana White for all the decision that get made in the UFC. Matt Mitrione recently gave insight into a conversation he had with Lorenzo and how Lorenzo views and thinks about the fighters. Basically Lorenzo doesn't give a shit about the fighters and he cares more about the product over the guys killing themselves in the cage. Dana is just Lorenzo's scapegoat when something goes wrong he takes all the blame. This is the reason why Lorenzo keeps Dana around as the scapegoat he's just to stupid to realize that he's just a puppet.

The two sides had been engaged in a discussion regarding issues related to the Reebok sponsorship deal when the fighter tried to punctuate his point by reminding the executive that the 500-plus fighters on the roster are the UFC's product. As he recounts it, the executive looked at him quizzically before responding that, no, the production and show are what the company is selling.

The fighter could not believe what he was hearing.

"Without us, all you have is a cage, cameras and lights," he recalled saying, before the conversation continued in circles, ultimately ending in no resolution.

most wealth lists put the fertitta brothers at like 1.1-1.3 billion dollars a piece. simple math dictates dana isnt worth 500 million. he has plenty of money but not that much.

and yes he is 100% the fertittas bitch. i bet they could dissolve his shares for just about any slight and not have to pay him a dime. hes like the number 2 of a drug lord who handles all the deals and gets about 9% of the profit.

Obviously the ferttita's are worth more but they also own other business' and put their own money in to make the UFC what it is today. uh you said 500 million not 100 million... hes def worth 100 million easily. and i wasnt ridiculing him i just find many people who arnt in the wealth management field(i worked at a registered investment advisory with significant discretionary assets under management after college for 5 years) and the media love to inflate net worths.

and im sure dana loves flying around on the fertitta's jets. they have a holding company just for their aircraft.

Because I low balled it...I found a lot of sites saying 500 mill but I put just 100 because it doesn't even matter I doubt he gives zero shits what people think about him and I wouldn't either with that money

i doubt he gives zero shits what i think either. but the management and structuring of wealth is very interesting to me. ive done a lot of reading, some writing and 8+ years in the industry so i was just offering what my view on the subject is. for his 9% of the company to be worth 500 million the value of the zuffa would have to be 5.55 billion. im sure hes been able to invest his dividends well because his bosses have been billionaires since birth but that is a fairly high valuation for zuffa. any investments hes made with his proceeds is pure speculation. knowledge of his gambling habits means hes probably not super conservative with his money and doesn't mind losing it sometimes. these are just my opinions with the few facts we actually now about his wealth.
