Very impressive performance against Hunt. Striking wasn't amazing, jiu jitsu wasn't either but his chin and his wrestling were great.

All of his wins are TKOs except 2 decisions lol. I would love to see him build in some high level BJJ and get the top control and submissions. He's going to need to work on his striking a lot though against the higher level opponents. Hunt was seeing everything coming a mile away. But not to dwell on the negative his timing and speed on the level changes and his strength suplexing a 265lb+ Hunt were very impressive. Probably the best wrestler active at HW right now?

Still like to see rematches with Oleinik and Predator.

His wrestling certainly surprised me, but its a moot point with DC now moving back to HW as the clear best wrestler but Blaydes man is no joke - kids only 26 too, thats like a baby at HW.

Yeah I forgot about DC. Hope Cain comes back healthy too. Don't know if Barnett is ever coming back at this point.

Depends. Is Jared Rosholt still active? He can wrestlefuck anyone to death

Not sure outwrestling Hunt says much but he is a solid wrestler who could take down 90% of the division.

Best HW wrestler, didn't this guy stop his take downs?

Maybe, but also one of the most boring fighters at HW, I have no interest in seeing someone fight whose gameplan is to hug another man for 15 minutes. I know wrestling/grappling is important to MMA but its only entertaining when its someone like Khabib beating a guy up in the process and trying to finish it. Someone who is content to just hold someone in a wrestling position and win by control = ratings/buyrate killer.

Blaydes controlled Hunt while Stipe almost killed him.

You realize who he was fighting, correct? Even Stipe employed the same plan versus that same opponent and Stipe is one of the best strikers at heavyweight. Why risk getting walk off KO'd with a dude that truly has one shot/'didn't see it coming' power when you can take him down and get the win? This is MMA afterall. Also, Curtis has been standing and trading with dudes, was in fact bossing super legit Oleynik so much that Oleynik pulled a 'No Mas'.

DC is back at heavyweight, I rank Cain above him as well.

Cain and Blaydes are easily the best wrestlers at HW right now

He'll get there, he's been working on his striking with Bang Ludwig.
