Is Cruz still ducking Dillashaw?

After he won their fight it's hard to deny that Cruz ducked Dillashaw, he fought an old man Faber who had no business being in a title fight and then cherry picked Cody who no one knew was as good as he is while Dillashaw was fighting the top ranked contenders and calling Cruz out.

Now that TJ has won the belt back you'd think Cruz would be eager to get back in there and 'beat' him again but just like back in 2016, he hasn't shown any interest in fighting him.

I just think it's odd, when Garbrandt still had the belt Cruz booked a fight against Rivera, he then broke his arm and pulled out but that has to be healed by now, and he's radio silent since TJ won the belt.

I know it sounds like I'm shit talking Cruz, but he's getting up there in age and I'd really just like to see the rematch while he's not past it.

Cruz knows he's done. Garbrandt and Dillashaw both destroy him in rematches.

This thread gets three <{cruzshake}><{cruzshake}><{cruzshake}>

Cruz has amazingly bad luck in the injury dep’t. He’s a GOAT candidate at BW. To say he’s scared to fight any other BW is ridiculous.

Tbh, I’d be slightly surprised if he ever fought again. I just don’t think his body can handle the level of training required for mma fights at the highest level.

Which sucks. Because a rematch with DJ is pretty much the rematch I want to see over any others.

He'd be a fight away from a title shot if he returns anyway so to say he's ducking TJ is ridiculous. I'd love to see him back but the guy's had a lot of injuries and isn't getting any younger.

No

Cruz only cares about beating his fellow commentators with words these days

the cody fight was closer than i thought upon re watching it. cruz wont beat either of them again if the version of himself that cody beat shows up. he looked like he lost a step

so unless he was hurt or something which i think he said he was injury free for the cody fight, i dont see him beating either of them again. injuries and his age caught up to him

Thinking like GSP, legacy.

he had nothing to gain from beating TJ again back then.

CRUZ ALREADY BEAT PRIME TJ AFTER ALL THOSE INJURIES. DEAL WITH IT!

Cruz got off the couch for a 6 week training camp and made TJ hit air for 25 minutes.

Defense isn't rewarded in MMA judging, defense is it's own reward. Dillashaw still did more damage than Cruz did.

Yet Cruz won the fight and TJ was sitting in the corner of the cage crying.

He broke his arm badly like 5 or 6 months ago, he would probably just be getting back to training right around now. Still a few months away from fighting, hopefully we hear a fight announcement for him in the near future. He may be waiting to see how the TJ/Cody rematch plays out.
