Is Colby never going to be a champion because of his attitude?

i think he can be champ. i thought he could beat Usman and i still think he can.

Well yea he wasn’t on his way because he was losing the 5th before getting dropped, got hurt to the body and rocked many times. Colby hypothetically could have won it if he took the 5th by split decision but that didnt happen and wasn’t very likely as usman was clearly okay and Colby got punched so hard he thought he was eyepoked. The fight was close but the victory was inevitable and clear.

Usman got hit so hard he thought he got low blowed. i don't see the victory being inevitable. Usman wasn't winning the fight handily like he usually is. it was a decisive ending but everything before that was competitive.

I agree with you. The fight was close but it was a pretty clear and concise win for Usman. The people who act like Colby would win a rematch are lying to themselves IMO.

jon jones showed a lot of heart going back for that bag of money <45>

The mindset of a true champion.

Colby can win imo but he needs to perform at his absolute best of his ability and develop better defence. They are pretty even but usman has the clear size and power advantage which makes it very tough for colby so I’d always favour usman. Colby, while I don’t like the guy, is scrappy, tough and skilled and could hypothetically beat any active WW imo.

He'll never be champ because he's the modern-day Jon Fitch. So good... but not good enough.

I think if Colby developed some kind of power strike that would help him out more than anything else. If he had a reliable power cross/overhand right or a strong body or head kick it would make opponents respect him more.
I agree man!
People can think what theybwant about Colby, but that dude has crazy skills.
If he had KO potential, and was known for knocking heads off, he would get more respect.

He probably won't because Usman is a better fighter.

Did you miss the part where Usman was winning on the scorecards and would have won a decision regardless?

It was technically even going in to the fifth if I’m correct ( 3 rds - 1 rds to usman / 2-2 / 3-1 to Colby) however as soon as Colby was dropped the fight was over and Colby only took rounds on volume while usman was hurting him.

Losing on the scorecards is not "neck and neck. Plus he got his little cunt mouth broken...

Nah, Usman was winning that fight before he finished Colby. Colby rallied well but he was not on his way to winning a decision or a draw if that’s what you’re implying.

This is what they call a draw ladies and gentlemen. I'm not a fan of the "but he was winning until he lost" argument, but it should be mentioned that Colby was winning the 5th round as well. Saying that Usman was ahead on the score cards is completely false.

Usman didn’t use his greatest skill in wrestling, RDA and Woodley took Colby down, Usman could and likely would in a rematch, plus they’re very simmilar fighters, Usman is a bigger more powerful version. Colby does not win a rematch
Colby also didn't use his wrestling....which (offensively) is statistically better than Usman's (check the UFC website). RDA lost that fight handily. Colby dominated that fight and landed 7 take downs on RDA, ditto for the Woodley fight. They are extremely similar fighters. What Colby lacks in power, he makes up for in volume and pace. These two fighters are basically dead even. Anyone who says otherwise is a fan boy. If they fight 10 times, it could end up being 5 a piece.

Oh shut the hell up.

"Beat his ass"

The Usman fight was neck and neck before the finish. Fair play to Usman, he got the job done. but dont act like it was a blowout. the rematch would be damn near 50/50 to anyone unbiased.

Burns? Burns who? Hes never lost to someone named Burns....you must be confusing Gilbert Burns with Wallry Alves, who he would likely destroy today.

How could it be 50/50 when one dude got his face broken and finished.

Your posts here are about as bad as they are in the Mayberry

arent you the dude from the Mayberry who sleeps on a big pile of clothes on the floor and milk crates?

I feel like Colby can beat Usman. It is always going to be a sloppy kickboxing match. Colby's striking is actually more fluent but has less power. With some fundamentals he can certainly outstrike Usman. He could have even done it if he kept his mouth closed while striking. Burns would be a tough fight for both of them.

So desperate you're resorting to stealing someone else's jokes. And not even good ones. Is this really how you wanna start 2021?

GSP isnt a good example for the record. Colby will lose his second fight against Usman.

he has no chance of doing what GSP did to Serra in their second fight.
