Is Cejudo a Top 5 GOAT?

Top 20 ish ..... a couple more top wins and he would’ve been knocking on the top 10’s door .....Unavenged loss to Benavidez doesn’t help and I personally thought DJ won the rematch

I feel you but when you actually list the fighters, it’s unlikely. You’re talking about Fedor Jones Silva GSP MM DC Hendo Stipe Hughes Nog Aldo Royce Couture Khabib (eventually) etc etc. Some of these guys are true icons of the sport and I don’t think Cejudo will ever get there unless he fights another 10 times or so.
 
No but he’s accomplished a lot in a relatively short time in mma. He doesn’t have the fight totals to be GOAT but he’s worth mentioning when talking about divisional all time greats.


I don’t think he’s actually retiring.
 
Hes top 10 easily - when he first came in to the UFC with his clunky striking compared to now is insane! His beaten killer after killer since MM - He might be cringe but he really is as elite as they come
 
He doesn't argue MMA goat I think he has a better argument with combat sports. Olympic gold medal is one of the top achievements ever to then become an elite striker in mma is ridiculous.
 
Dom Cruz last fought FOUR YEARS ago, and it was a definitive loss to Cody.

He's a fun well known name in the sport, but effectively meaningless in the division. He's an unranked inactive fighter.

GOAT's are not popularity or financial contests, but a matter of achievements within the competition itself. The competition is MMA... fighting. By your own definition, Dana, Lorenzo and Frank are the MMA GOATs.

The WW division GSP "dominated" was a sham. He coasted on boring decisions and ran away from the sport early enough.

He is not even a top 5.

Genuinely retarded are the people who put most underwhelming champ at the very top. It's MMA illiteracy.

The fact that you watched MMA/UFC due to McGregor doesn't mean long-time fans need him to love the sport. I really don't cate if Conor fights again.
