Is Bethe Correia the least talented fighter ever to compete for a UFC title?

Her jumping routine has me believing she is the most unathletic fighter to challenge for a belt.
Have you seen Jon Jones or Conor try to jump? Jumping has nothing to do with being athletic if we are talking about a fighter.

Edit: I'm not saying she was athletically gifted, but Jones and Conor definitely are and they can't jump either and look super unathletic when they try. Jumping has nothing to do with being athletically gifted if we are talking about MMA.

Definitely.

Literally every time she moves it looks awkward. Even when it's just regular walking or her victory dance or something like that. It's actually amazing that she made it to the UFC with basically 0 athletic ability.

4 and 3 Record by the way.
<{yahyou}>
Wouldnt that make Modafferi the worst?

Evinger's only visible talent against Cyborg was that she was born to be a human punching bag. Does that make her more or less talented than Correia? Hard to say.

Blows my mind that he was so bad after years of training. I've got mates that were better after 2 weeks than that.

Yeah but he's more talented than Beth. End of discussion

WMMA doesnt count.

Don't we all kinda (not so) secretly agree on this???

Dan Hardy

Condit, Kampmann, Rick Story, Stun Gun, Kos, Fitch, and Paul Daley were all active UFC WWs at the time.

He beats none of them.

No but he beat Swick, who was seen as a next in line for GSP at the time and Hardy was on a 4 fight win streak.

Also, at the start 2010: Condit was 1-1 in UFC, Kampmann was 2-1 at WW and had recently been KO'd by Daley, Daley was 2-0 (Kos was his 3rd and final UFC fight), Story was 1-1 in UFC, Kim had a few wins but was injured in the Grant win and the loss to Karo took the shine off. None of these were in title contention at the time.

GSP had recently beaten Kos and Fitch.. Swick was meant to be the next AKA guy in line...

Nice revisionism though!

P.S. Kampmann actually withdrew from a fight against Ellenberger for the UFC 111 card. Ellenberger was 1-1 at the time.

looks like a soccer mom learning self-defense..if not the worst, she should be..jesus she looked bad

Murphy is better than Bethe and more durable. That was the first time she got finished and it was from a flush head kick which melted Eye and follow up elbows and punches

Bethe isnt more durable at all WTF are you smoking. She got one punch pancaked by Honda lmao

Ronda's punched was very well placed. (Ronda was a super good fighter. She just refused to diversify her game).

She destroyed Rondas stable besides Ronda, not too bad of an accomplishment in her career.

Marcus Davis was 6-0 in the UFC when Swick beat him.

Fact is all the fighters you alluded to weren't near the title picture whatsoever. Swick and Hardy had win streaks and they had a title eliminator.

People shit on Hardy nowadays because he never got back to title contention and it looks like a squash match in hindsight, but at the time there was little complaining.

Elvis Sinosic was pretty shit on the male side bless him.
He wasn't a bad fighter, but that's when they were feeding Tito guys that had no business at LHW. Elvis weighed in at 200 pounds and looked all of 190. He got a shot because he upset Jeremy Horn.

Derrick Lewis when he fought DC (or even vs Gane for that matter) was the biggest martial arts skill disparity in a title fight. At least in Betch's case Ronda was not terribly skilled either outside of judo, so it wasn't as big of a gap. In Derrick's case he had nothing for either guy, just completely all-in on the puncher's chance because that's all he's got against complete fighters. You could pull in a random 6'3 265 guy from a bar somewhere and he wouldn't do much worse against DC. Not hating on the guy, that's the facts and he'd probably admit it himself.
