Absolutely not. Leon is one of the most boring guys in the UFC but I'll root for him any day over someone as obnoxious as Colby. He's not like Chael where he's actually entertaining and a good heel. He just comes across as rude, obnoxious and unlikable.

Colby Covington is just trash as a human being. Putting politics completely aside, although supporting a fascist that explicitly tried to overthrow the government is pretty bad, the guy is just awful regardless. The dude sold his soul and his closest friendships for money. There are few signifiers of weak character beyond that. It speaks volumes about sherdoggers that the majority are picking him. You're all self reporting that you would also sell your soul and best friends for money.
And that friendship was with a dude who’s 40 yrs old and talks about street life with pride. Jumped him like a punk ass bitch and was proud of it.

I want Colby to win only because I want more American champs, he's still a douche though.

I hope Colby wins via wrestlefucking for 5 rounds straight, then Trump joins in on the post fight interview waving a 10ft US flag, Colby pees on a budlight can, and then gives out boosters to all liberals in the arena.

That would be amazing. Rassle-fucking is definitely the ‘Chaos’ game plan. Peyton Manning could buy a round of BudLight for the whole crowd.

His entire fanbase was built off his thug persona. Street Jesus. Then you all become pearl clutching 90s republican women when you realize it's not a persona and hes really about it. I'm no fan of masvidal and I don't come from the streets. But sometimes you people, and even fighters themselves, need a reminder that this isn't a TV show. It's not fiction. When you betray a brother like that, and talk that kind of reckless shit, short of murder, you deserve whatever you get. I had my best friend bury a knife in my back completely out of the shadows. When it comes to that dude, it's on sight for life. I imagine Jorge feels much the same way and I get it completely.

I want Colby vs Islam at some point, just a more entertaining spinoff. Would be fun to hear all the comical USA vs evil Russia comedy that Colby will vigorously plan for, in order to generate some fanfare.

I think Colby will fight if the stakes are high enough. Both men aren't that active though. The contenders seem boring and whoever is going to be champion doesn't seem keen on defending at 170.

Normally agree with your takes but thinking Usman was a garbage champ is indeed a garbage take

Always rooted for Colby but Usman was super active champ and deserves credit
It’s almost like those three fighters with distinctly different styles, strengths, and personalities might have only one commonality… I just can’t put my finger on it.

Only racists and edgelords that want to feel like it "pwnd the libz"

Ugh, I hate Colby so I am rooting for Leon, Colby rubs me the wrong way and he loves to not fight so if he gets the belt, he probably won't defend it until at least 2025 or 2026 it seems like, the UFC really needs to make a rule that if you can't defend in a year's time you get stripped

on sight for life, fine but what he did is cowardly

I am yeah. Would be hilarious on multiple levels. Especially if Belal gets the shot afterwards, wins the belt and refuses to give Edwards a match
I always forget that belal is even in the mix, he's so damn boring as a fighter. He's a modern day John Fitch, wet blanket and all

When you reach a certain level of malice for someone, considerations about fairness and honor go out the window. You just want to do harm to them. Personally I'm not a sucker puncher and last time I caught up with buddy he saw it coming. But what Colby did was pretty cowardly as well, and he shot first. So it's a wash imo

I just don't believe hell defend against anyone credible. He's had a very easy run and hell make for a boring champion being highly selective about who he fights.
