Masvidal was the fighter of the year before the first fight and the rematch was due to the short notice of the first fight. It also wasn't like he took a long layoff to do the rematch and like he held up the division. Was a great performance in the rematch too. It made up for that boring first fight.
 
Just more pro wrestling bullshit. Dana wants so bad for white american MAGA retard champions to take over to appeal to the shithole states. Colby doesn't deserve a shot at a contender, let alone a title shot.

He didn’t deserve the first fight, he was a late replacement. Nothing in the world justifies his instant title rematch. We are ona forum that is complaining about Colby getting this title shot when at least it came off a win over a two time title challenger in masvidal. No one questions usman fighting masvidal twice in a row; so what I gather is it’s okay for usman to have 2 “legit” title defenses against masvidal but colby earning a title fight from beating masvidal is just outrageous. Colby is simply held to a different standard than other fighters a harsher standard because school girls don’t like him

When I say 'work ethic' I'm talking about how hard he trains and his discipline, which shows in his performances. Nobody can fight his style and not work hard in the gym, its impossible. You don't just have a 'preference' to put on an insane pace for 5 rounds. How often he decides to fight and which fights he takes is irrelevant to me, way I see it those are business decisions which he has every right to make.

As far as ducking fighters, he was willing to fight Usman again after getting tko'd by him, and he's now fighting the guy that beat Usman twice, Colby's hardest opponent. You can't have it both ways, either he avoids hard fights, or he doesn't,saying 'he's only doing it, because the belt is on the line', well no shit, that's the goal of the game.

Yes he could be lying, he could be drinking and partying, but your parents could be lying, maybe you're not really their son, I'm willing to believe it when he says that.

I find Colby far more entertaining in the cage than Edwards.

Let’s not rewrite history here, Usman was absolutely raked over the coals for those Masvidal fights. It was over two years ago so it’s obviously not discussed much now but people were not happy about it then. Funny enough it was mainly Colby fans who were mad and are now jumping through hoops to explain why beating Jorge and a 20 month layoff warrants a TS.

Neither are okay. you're right about one thing, I did rake him over the coals, but if you look at the person im responding too, sounds like they are justifying it. (that's how it sounds to me)

But once we accept one, we can't complain about the other. It's just par for the course now.

Colby "fans" had a right to be upset. The idea that masvidal got 2 title shots before colby got 2 is absolutely insane if you really think about it.

Both Usman and Woodley had a decent number of title defense. They were not that inactive for WW and both had great moments as champ (Woodley beats till and Usman Kos Mas).

You can think they are bad if you want but I doubt Colby will ever reach what both accomplished as champ.

If Colby wins, you know he's gonna take a 1 year+ break
